JoJo Siwa Confirms Relationship With Chris Hughes

JoJo Siwa is ready to define her relationship. 

Previously starring together on “Celebrity Big Brother U.K.,” the former cast member of “Dance Moms” has now publicly acknowledged her relationship with Chris Hughes, whom she grew fond of during their time on the reality show earlier in 2021.

JoJo shared with The Guardian during an interview on June 2 that their relationship is no longer platonic. He described it as a stunning transformation, a deeply meaningful bond, and expressed that he’s completely smitten by him, and vice versa.

And despite JoJo’s already clear lust for life, she assures that she has never been happier. 

She gleefully expressed that her life is filled with joy at the moment, and it seems to shine brightly around her. In fact, just the day before, she found herself rubbing her cheeks due to the unprecedented discomfort from all the smiling.

JoJo further discussed her identity, affirming her use of the term “queer” which she applied to herself during her time on Celebrity Big Brother, explaining that it accurately represents who she is. Yet, she also emphasized that she continues to grow and change.

She clarified, “There are many unique sexual identities.” She added, “I find it incredibly charming when someone takes the time to understand and accept themselves.

As she put it, “I’m also living a human life. You can’t help who you love.”

At the moment, she finds herself irresistibly drawn to Chris, and since their relationship was made public on both online and offline platforms, they’ve been quite playful and flirtatious for several weeks following their departure from the reality program.

On May 20th, as she performed in Mexico, the “Karma” singer modified a noteworthy line in her rendition of the song “Kim Carnes‘s ‘Bette Davis Eyes’.

“He’s got,” JoJo sang to uproarious applause from the audience, “Chris Hughes’ eyes.”

At the concert, Chris showed a shocked response, caught on camera, followed swiftly by him blowing kisses towards the stage, reminiscent of his role on Love Island.

In her TikTok video that month, she expressed, “I’ve had enough of being silent.” She went on to say, “You have significant influence, you and your social media. It’s confusing how you can profess love one day and vanish the next, only to accuse us of seeking attention and showering affection excessively online. I just don’t understand this behavior.

Furthermore, it was Siwa who initially made their relationship known, whereas Mills requested approval prior to sharing any insights about their romance. Moreover, Mills emphasized, “I have the messages as evidence, so beware if you try to dispute this fact.

It can be inferred that Avery Cyrus, who was briefly linked with Siwa on YouTube in 2022, hasn’t yet reached the pinnacle of her fame.

During their 12-day celebration, the singer expressed that living together was a wonderful dream come true. Siwa shared with TopMob News in October, “Our personalities complement each other beautifully, and I think this compatibility is truly significant.” She added, “She radiates positivity, lifting my spirits. In return, I believe I bring the same positive energy to her.

However, the atmosphere shifted noticeably in December. Just two days after Cyrus publicly announced their breakup, Siwa subtly accused someone of exploiting her celebrity status.

In a December 2022 video posted on her mother’s Instagram Story, she expressed frustration by saying, “I was manipulated for popularity and attention. I thought I was loved, but instead, I was used.

For Cyrus, though, their dalliance wasn’t a game. 

She shared with TopMob News that from her point of view, she parted ways with JoJo amicably and they remain friends. She emphasized that their connection was genuine, and all she holds towards JoJo and her loved ones is affection.

As a devoted fan, I can put it this way: Dakayla Wilson might have come in second during season 18 of “So You Think You Can Dance”, but she was undeniably first in Judge Siwa’s heart. In an August TikTok post, the “Karma” singer excitedly shared that she took a break from being JoJo Siwa to assist Dakayla as her All Star Assistant during a dance class.

Three months after their decision, Ebbs disclosed that they had ended their relationship at the Celebrity Big Brother UK wrap party.

In a TikTok post from April 2025, Ebbs explained that he was informed of mixed feelings and, essentially, they understood that he wasn’t their preferred partner for the long term.

However, although Siwa shared a strong bond with housemate Chris Hughes, she emphasized that the current situation was not easily replicable or interchangeable for everyone.

During filming, Siwa shared that she found herself deeply introspective, distanced from her familiar circle, external judgments, and all other distractions. In this solitude, she sat with herself and came to terms with aspects of her life that she should not have tolerated initially.
