Billy Ray Cyrus and Miley Cyrus have mended their achy breaky rift. 

After Miley offered wisdom about mending their bond, Billy Ray presented her with flowers as a gesture of appreciation.

In response to her post announcing the release of “Something Beautiful“, he expressed excitement with three fire-heart emojis. Additionally, on his Instagram stories, he re-shared the announcement and wrote, “I’m so proud of you, Mile!!” (June 1)

After several months of rumors surrounding conflicts, Miley admitted that mending her relationship with Billy Ray (who is currently dating Elizabeth Hurley), while her mother Tish Cyrus has remarried Dominic Purcell, was quite an uphill task.

Miley expressed to The New York Times during an interview on May 31st that she’s handling things maturely. Now that her mother is deeply in love with her stepfather, whom she truly admires, and since she sees her father finding joy too – she can appreciate them both individually rather than as a combined parental unit.

Initially, it’s challenging because the child within me responds instinctively before the mature part of me can say, ‘Yes, that’s your father, but that’s just another individual who deserves to be content and joyful.’ After some time, my inner child has understood this.

32-year-old’s confession revealed that her dedication to safeguarding Tish (the divorce from Billy Ray was finalized in 2022 after nearly 30 years of marriage) resulted in increased bitterness towards her father, who tied the knot with Firerose in October 2023.

She put it this way: “Everything hinges on timing,” she said. “With age comes a newfound appreciation for my parents as individuals rather than just parents. My mom has always adored my dad, and I believe that choosing to be with someone in the music world while not being a part of it is undeniably challenging.

Miley stated, “I believe I absorbed some of my mother’s pain as if it were my own, since it affected her more deeply than it did me as an adult. Consequently, I carried much of her burden.
