Bryan Cranston’s Epic Prank on Breaking Bad Set Revealed

The performance was extremely serious and intense, yet it didn’t suggest a somber atmosphere backstage. In fact, one actor once added a touch of humor by pulling off a complex prank on their fellow cast member.

Although the show was heavy and intense, things weren’t always so serious behind the scenes. For instance, an actor once played a practical joke on their co-star that brought some laughter to the set.

Paul disclosed some surprising details during his guest spot on a web series called “Celebrities Eat Spicy Food,” where famous personalities discuss their careers while enjoying spicy dishes. Despite the hot wings, Paul couldn’t help but share stories about Cranston’s unpredictably childish antics. The actor opened up by saying: “He’s the most dedicated worker I know, he’s absolutely lovable – I consider him my best friend, my son’s godfather, I hold him in high esteem, we spoke for an hour on the phone last night. I’m truly smitten with the man, but let me tell you, he’s also the most immature individual I’ve ever encountered, and I express this sentiment with nothing but affection and regard.

Cranston’s immaturity surfaced when he emerged from the production office after reading a script, and solemnly summoned Paul. Paul still recalls the incident vividly. “He said, ‘Come over here, it’s fine,’ and he gave me a lengthy hug,” Paul described. “I replied, ‘What are you doing?’ He responded, ‘Looks like you’re going out with a bang, don’t you think?’ I was puzzled and asked, ‘What do you mean?’ He then inquired, ‘Did you read the latest script?’ I answered, ‘No.’ He simply said, ‘Then read it, and I’m here if you need me.’

Cranston tried to make Paul think that his character, Jesse, had died, but it turned out otherwise once Paul read the script himself. Yet, Cranston persisted with the trick anyway.

Paul continued, “But he wouldn’t let up, and he even managed to involve everyone, just as the costume designers put it, ‘“Let’s take your measurements for the coffin, so if you could stick around after work, that would be fantastic.” I was confused, though!

Interestingly, it was planned for Jesse’s character to meet his demise by the end of ‘Breaking Bad‘ season 1. However, due to the immense popularity of his role and the exceptional rapport he shared with Bryan Cranston, Jesse managed to survive longer than Walter White himself.

Cranston’s Next Project is the Malcom in the Middle Reboot

As a devoted cinephile, I can’t help but emphasize how perfectly Bryan Cranston embodies the character of Hal in the upcoming reboot of “Malcolm in the Middle.” It’s evident that this role is tailor-made for him.

Even though he’s grown older, he’s eager to get involved in the physical comedy once more. He mentioned, “I found myself saying, ‘It’s been 20 years since I last did this,'” during an interview. “With a few additional limitations now, it feels like I’m moving around on all fours. Of course, I’ll be stripping down again. That’s nothing new, absolutely not shocking at all.

Breaking Bad can be streamed on Netflix.
