Approximately seven months following Netflix’s decision to renew Erin Foster’s series “Nobody Wants This” for another season, the network announced the show’s scheduled release date during the fall season.

At Netflix’s FYSEE Emmy Event on June 1st, it was me, an overjoyed fan, who learned that my beloved show would be back! The executive producers and stars – none other than Adam Brody, Kristen Bell, and Jackie Tohn – made the exciting announcement. They gathered at the LA ceremony to toast the show’s triumph, making the timing of this news all the more fitting. So, mark your calendars for October 25th, my fellow fans, as our beloved romcom is set to grace our screens once again!

In essence, the initial season of “Nobody Wants This” captivated viewers with its intricate romantic storyline. Drawing inspiration from creator Erin’s personal life with her husband Simon Tikhman, the show presents Kristen as Joanne, a character who is an agnostic and open-minded podcast host, who finds herself drawn to Noah, a Jewish rabbi played by Adam.

Afterward, Joanne ponders whether she’s prepared to embrace Judaism, an experience the series’ creator had undergone prior to his 2019 wedding.

In the upcoming chapter of my all-time favorite romcom, I can hardly contain my excitement! The second installment is set to bring back familiar faces from season one, but it’s not just a reunion – we’ve got some fresh blood joining the mix! Leighton Meester will be stepping into the role of Abby, an Instagram mommy influencer and an old rival of Joanne’s from childhood. To make things even more intriguing, Miles Fowler, Arian Moayed, and Alex Karpovsky (who you might recognize from “Girls”) are also joining the cast. This season promises to be a rollercoaster ride of emotions, laughter, and unforgettable moments – I can hardly wait!

Initially, Kristen playfully hinted at Leighton joining the cast of “Nobody Wants This” in February, expressing her excitement that their on-screen partnership would mirror their real-life relationship with husband Adam, whom they have a 9-year-old daughter named Arlo and a 4-year-old son with.

Leighton Meester graciously agreed to join us, as she shared with TopMob News. She further mentioned that this appearance would be entertaining since they aren’t adversaries away from the screen.

Meanwhile, the show’s creator gushed over the second season renewal last October.

In that statement from Erin that particular month, she expressed that working on “Nobody Wants This” will always stand out as a significant career achievement for her. She went on to say that the talented cast, crew, producers, and executives all played crucial roles in making this series what it is today.
