JoJo Siwa has officially acknowledged her relationship with Chris Hughes following several weeks of rumors, expressing her deep feelings for him by stating that she’s “crazy in love.
Previously known personalities from Dance Moms and Love Island crossed paths while participating together on ITV’s Celebrity Big Brother in April. Their palpable connection sparked curiosity among spectators about the specifics of their bond.
Speculations of a romantic involvement between them intensified when they exited the Big Brother residence, boosted by shared photos on social media platforms and song dedications. Yet, they’ve been secretive about the nature of their relationship up to this point. However, that secrecy has finally been lifted.
In a conversation with The Guardian, the 22-year-old Siwa revealed that her relationship with Hughes, aged 32, has moved beyond being purely platonic.
The relationship has moved beyond being just friendly now, and it’s been an amazing journey, a deep bond that has formed. I’m completely smitten by him, and he feels the same way,” she concluded.
In 2021, Siwa publicly acknowledged her identity as pansexual. More recently, she has been using the terms ‘queer’ or ‘gay’ to describe herself.
After leaving the Big Brother house, Danny Beard, the winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK, expressed a clearer understanding of her sexual identity, describing herself as “queer.
In her conversation with The Guardian, she emphasized that the word “queer” perfectly captures her identity and self.
She stated, “There are numerous types of sexual identities. To me, nothing is more captivating than someone embarking on their self-discovery journey.
On Saturday (31st May), Hughes added more fuel to the speculation about their relationship with Siwa by posting a snapchat picture of them both shirtless in bed, accompanied by the caption: “Beauty sleeping soundly.
Last week at a London concert, Siwa paid tribute to Chris Hughes by singing Kim Carnes’s “Bette Davis Eyes”, changing the lyrics to “Chris Hughes’s Eyes”.
