Sam Asghari Reveals Why He “Wanted” Britney Spears to Have a Prenup

Sam Asghari has always had Britney Spears’ best interest in mind.

Approximately one year following their divorce, the ex-star of “Traitors” disclosed the reasons behind his suggestion for Britney to have a prenuptial agreement before their June 2022 marriage.

On a June 2 episode of the Trading Secrets podcast, Sam shared with host Jason Tartick that he felt it was important for her to have a prenuptial agreement. He explained that his main reason was to ensure her protection, as he knows no one who hasn’t taken advantage of her throughout her life.

“It’s very sad,” he added. “I wanted to make sure that I’m the person that don’t do that.”

Regarding the potential contents of the prenuptial agreement, it’s known that the 31-year-old holds a strong stance: either one party receives all assets, or both parties receive nothing.

Essentially, what he meant was that either the project will be entirely yours or there won’t be anything at all. In other words, they’re creating this specifically for you, and they’re not considering any partial ownership.

In reference to his two-year union with Britney, who is now 43, the model clarified that his aspiration to “construct a joint empire” was sincere and altruistic, contrary to internet rumors suggesting he was exploiting her.

He stated that he doesn’t let himself get angry towards the public, fans, or those observing his life from afar. This is particularly true during periods of intense speculation, and even more so now since he’s been single for over two years, or almost a year and some months.

From an outsider’s point of view, Sam observed. He pointed out that there are differences in age and status, but when it comes down to it, we connected on set as co-stars.

They began dating not long after he landed a role in Britney’s “Slumber Party” music video from 2016.

As I reflect back, I found myself working side by side with her, a common occurrence in the dynamic world of acting. With everyone always occupied, we were often engrossed in our work on set, spending considerable hours that sometimes surpassed the time I spent with my own family.

He further explained, “That’s simply how things function.” It’s similar to an office environment. When you’re at work, you inevitably encounter a colleague. There will always be individuals who hold different views. And I appreciate that diversity of opinion.

To reinforce his genuine feelings towards Britney during their marriage, Sam, who is not currently dating Brooke Irvine, frequently reminisced about forgoing profitable offers to better attend to Britney, who was under a conservatorship for 13 years before a judge ended it in 2021.
