At Anime Expo 2025, Aniplex of America is set to mark a significant achievement. Established in March 2005 as a subsidiary under the Japanese Aniplex entertainment company, owned by Sony, this year marks its 20th anniversary. To celebrate, Aniplex of America plans an array of new panels for Anime Expo, showcasing popular brands like Demon Slayer and Fate/Grand Order. These panels will feature special guests, unique merchandise, and freebies. In the Exhibit Hall, they’ll sell merchandise tied to their most beloved series. The Aniplex of America booth will also host a mini-stage, offering programs throughout the four-day convention, with appearances by mascots in kigurumi costumes and cosplay gatherings.

Aniplex, a prominent Japanese entertainment firm, assists in bringing popular Japanese anime to North America. They’ve played a significant role in the licensing of major franchises such as “Demon Slayer,” “Fate/Zero,” “Fullmetal Alchemist,” “The Irregular at Magic High School,” “Kaguya-sama: Love Is Wa,” “Kill la Kill,” “Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic,” “Mongatari,” “Puella Magi Madoka Magica,” and “Sword Art Online.” At events like Anime Expo, Aniplex often hosts panels in the largest convention rooms to showcase their upcoming productions. They collaborate with various streaming platforms, including Netflix, Hulu, and Crunchyroll, to make their anime series available online.

For three out of the four days of the convention, the company has planned special panels. One standout event is the Aniplex of America 20th Anniversary Industry Panel, where they plan to honor their history and create an unforgettable experience. Another significant panel will be the Demon Slayer 6th Anniversary Celebration, which includes live musical performances and a special guest, Natsuki Hanae, who voices Tanjiro Kamado. The A-1 panel is also celebrating its 20th anniversary with several guests, including Seiji Mizushima, the director of Fullmetal Alchemist and Mobile Suit Gundam 00. The FGO 8th Anniversary x TYPE-MOON Projects will have guests from the Fate franchise, such as Ayako Kawasumi, the well-known voice actress behind Saber.
