As a seasoned movie critic, I’m thrilled to share that the star-studded lineup for the BBC Radio 2 in the Park 2025 Music Festival has just been revealed! The legendary Bryan Adams and the iconic Def Leppard have been announced as the headline acts, promising an unforgettable experience for music lovers everywhere.
This year, the event is scheduled from Friday, September 5th through Sunday, September 7th, in Chelmsford, Essex.
Today’s Scott Mills Breakfast Show on BBC Radio 2 disclosed that Canadian artist Bryan Adams will take the stage on Saturday evening, bringing a rock and roll vibe to this year’s event. Meanwhile, Def Leppard, another popular rock band, has been announced as the headliner for Sunday night.
In the context of his illustrious career that has dominated charts in more than 40 nations and is recognized for chart-toppers like Everything I Do (I Do It for you) and Summer of ’69, Adams expressed: “This marks my debut performance in Chelmsford, and I’m genuinely thrilled to be bringing the show there.
He went on to say, “It’s electrifying to perform in a fresh setting, particularly one that’s buzzing with Radio 2 enthusiasts eager for a great show. I’m absolutely pumped to be a part of this exciting event… so hold onto your hats, we’re about to ride the waves together!
Def Leppard, a band renowned for selling over 110 million albums globally and creating chart-toppers like Rock of Ages and Pour Some Sugar on Me, announced: “We’ve never played in Chelmsford before, but that changes on the 7th of September!
Other stars set to perform include Jessie J, Belinda Carlisle and Ronan Keating.
Furthermore, just like its premiere at Radio 2 in the Park, Preston last year, this year’s event will kick off with a Friday night DJ party as part of the festival. This special evening will showcase live sets from popular Radio 2 hosts Vernon Kay, Scott Mills, Rylan, DJ Spoony, and Michelle Visage.
