Chris Pratt Pays Tribute to Jonathan Joss After Shooting Death

Chris Pratt is mourning the loss of a fellow Pawnee resident.

After learning that his “Parks and Recreation” co-star, Jonathan Joss, was fatally shot on June 1st, the actor from “Guardians of the Galaxy” expressed shock and sorrow at the unexpected death of Jonathan.

Oh dear. Farewell, Jonathan. He was always so kind-hearted, as expressed by Chris, age 45, on his Instagram story posted on June 2 alongside an article detailing his passing. Known for his roles in ‘Parks’ as Ken Hotate and ‘Mag 7’, it’s sad to see him go. Sending positive thoughts. Remember to cherish your loved ones.

Jonathan frequently appeared in the series as the leader of the Native American Wamapoke Tribe, Chief Ken Hotate. He shared the screen with Amy Poehler, Rashida Jones, Adam Scott, and Aubrey Plaza.

Beyond Chris’ tribute, Nick Offerman (known for his role as Ron Swanson on the show) also mentioned that various actors from the Parks and Recreation series had been reaching out to one another after hearing about the demise of the actor from King of the Hill.

Nick, 54 years old, shared with People that the team has been deeply saddened all day following text conversations about it. He described Jonathan as an incredibly kind individual whom they cherished as their character Chief Ken Hotate. This is a truly heart-wrenching event.

The San Antonio Police Department confirmed that Jonathan was deceased, as reported by TMZ. According to this media outlet, a neighbor is said to have shot multiple times from a vehicle and then left the scene. Sigfredo Alvarez-Cega was apprehended on June 2nd in relation to the incident and charged with murder. He is currently being held on a $200,000 bond, as reported by TMZ.

TopMob News has contacted the authorities in San Antonio and representatives for Jonathan, however, we haven’t received a response yet.

In a heartfelt post on Facebook, Jonathan’s spouse, Tristan Kern de Gonzales, reminisced about the last moments of Jonathan and expressed gratitude towards fans for their kindness and encouragement.

On June 2, Tristan shared, “I was by his side when he departed. I expressed to him how cherished he was. To all who stood by him – his admirers, his friends – please understand that he held you in high regard. He considered you as part of his family. My priority now is safeguarding Jonathan’s legacy and commemorating the life we shared.

He continued, “Jonathan saved my life. I will carry that forward. I will protect what he built.”
