TikTok Star Sana Yousaf Dead at 17 in Shooting

The TikTok community has lost a beloved member: Sana Yousaf.

17-year-old social media sensation, boasting more than a million followers collectively on her online platforms, was tragically gunned down at her residence in Islamabad, the capital city of Pakistan. This unfortunate incident was verified by authorities to CBS News on June 3.

TopMob News has reached out to authorities for comment and has not heard back.

The individual accused of murder, a 22-year-old man wearing a mask who was apprehended by police within twenty hours and later admitted to the crime, as stated by the Islamabad police, frequently interacted with her online and often lingered for extended periods outside her residence.

During a news conference, Islamabad police chief Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi stated that the situation involved multiple instances of refusals. He explained that the young man persistently attempted to make contact with her on various occasions.

He added, “It was a gruesome and cold-blooded murder.”

Recently turned 17, this young lady gained popularity through her lip-synced videos, skincare advice, and beauty content. Boasting an impressive follower count of more than 800,000 on TikTok, a platform highly favored in Pakistan.

In the hours leading up to her murder, she posted videos showcasing her birthday celebrations, featuring a lit-up cake and joyful meals shared with friends.

One content creator expressed dismay by saying, “This is truly heartbreaking,” referring to a 17-year-old who was brutally taken away, seemingly for no reason at all.

Another shared, “Can’t believe this,” with a heartbreak emoji. “May her soul rest in peace.”

Ayesha Khan Lodhi, a renowned Pakistani figure on social media who also acts, expressed her dismay over the ongoing violence in her homeland.

She posted: ‘Stop circulating her photos. She was horrifically killed in Islamabad, Pakistan—can our safety here get any more precarious?’ she expressed. ‘It seems no one is secure anymore. No rule of law, no fear of repercussions. This is not typical. This is unacceptable. Let’s pause for a moment to recite Surah Al-Mulk for her.’

Ayesha Khan Lodhi, a well-known social media figure and actress from Pakistan, expressed her dismay over the ongoing violence in her nation.

She posted a plea asking people to stop sharing her photos because she was cruelly killed in Islamabad, Pakistan. She expressed concern about the country’s safety and wrote, ‘This isn’t right.’ She also suggested that everyone should reflect upon Surah Al-Mulk for her.
