Sean “Diddy” Combs Trial: Supporter Escorted Out for Outburst

Order was briefly absent from the courtroom.

On June 3, while Sean “Diddy” Combs was seated alongside his legal team during his sex trafficking trial in New York, a spectator caused an unexpected disturbance that led to their removal by court officials, as reported by NBC News journalists present in the courtroom.

The woman, who had been observing the events from an additional room earlier, as reported by the source, exclaimed loudly, “Everyone is mocking Diddy! It’s unjust how they’re treating him!

She appeared to yell at the Combs, “People are trying to do you wrong.”

Following her departure from the courtroom, Eddie Garcia, a past security supervisor at the InterContinental Hotel in Los Angeles, stepped up to testify regarding the assault incident involving Combs and his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura at the hotel back in 2016.

According to NBC News, Garcia, who testified under an immunity agreement, alleged that the creator of Bad Boy Records bribed a hotel security guard with a brown paper bag containing $100,000, in order to obtain footage of an attack which was later released by CNN in May.

After the occurrence, which Diddy (Combs) later apologized for when the media published it, he reportedly phoned asking for the video footage.

In his testimony, he stated that the individual continuously affirmed that I appeared as a trustworthy person and offered assistance with the video recordings. He warned me that it could harm his career. I expressed my regrets and clarified that I was merely a security personnel and lacked the necessary credentials to access the server room where the original footage was stored, as I did not possess them.

In my expert opinion as a lifestyle advisor, I’d like to share an incident that was claimed by Garcia. He asserted that upon disclosing to his superior that Combs had proposed to cover the costs of certain footage, this superior allegedly ventured into the server room and passed him a USB drive. Later on, according to Garcia, he delivered this data storage device to the esteemed figure from Diddy – Dirty Money’s entourage. He also mentioned that he supposedly agreed to a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) under the threat of a $1 million penalty for any breaches.

Subsequently, Garcia stated that Combs, who denies the charges of sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, forced sex trafficking, fraudulent or coercive sex trafficking, and transportation for prostitution, had provided him with $100,000 to share among himself and two other hotel staff members.

In court, he testified that we headed towards my car, and he inquired about how I planned to use the money. I responded that I wasn’t sure, to which he advised against making large purchases. I assumed this meant he didn’t want our spending to attract unnecessary attention.

A backer of Sean “Diddy” Combs, who’s been present at the courthouse nearly every day during his trial, was escorted out of the courtroom following an outburst within the main courtroom, as reported by NBC News.

On June 3, a spectator from the overflow areas exclaimed amidst the hearings, “Everyone’s mocking Diddy!” He felt it was unjust the way they were treating him.

After asserting Combs’ innocence, she yelled at him, “People are trying to do you wrong.”

Eddy Garcia, who used to be the head of security at the InterContinental Hotel in Los Angeles, declared that Combs is said to have handed over a brown paper bag containing $100,000 to hotel security, hoping they would give him the CCTV footage showing Bad Boy Records founder Sean Combs attacking his then-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura.

In exchange for his testimony, granted under a protective immunity deal, Garcia stated that he shared a large amount of money with two other colleagues following their agreement to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) with a potential fine of $1 million.

In my expertise as a lifestyle guide, I can share an account where I was involved in a conversation with Mr. Combs on Easter following an event. He affectionately referred to me as an “angel” during our phone call, then inquired if anyone had mentioned the incident or the associated video. Upon my response that I hadn’t heard anything about it, he simply replied, “OK.

Sylvia Oken, who holds the position of Area Director of Sales and Marketing at the Beverly Hills Hotel, stated that Combs made reservations under the aliases Philip Pines and Frank Black.

Oken passed on the bills that Combs incurred while he was there, which included expenses for “thorough cleaning” and “damage from excessive oil use.” (Previously, evidence and testimonies suggested that the rap tycoon used numerous bottles of baby oil during his elaborate sex shows.)

In her testimony, the ex-assistant known as “Mia” claimed that she attempted to keep a cordial rapport with the rap tycoon, even after alleging past instances of sexual misconduct, due to being heavily influenced or indoctrinated by him.

She clarified during Brian Steele’s cross-examination on June 2, stating that the situation I found myself in was one where things were either extremely good or extremely bad. I made a concerted effort to return to a better state and work even harder. I was consistently striving for his approval.

The defense brought attention to a conversation between Combs and “Mia,” where she claimed that her previous employer helped rescue her from a distressing situation involving R. Kelly, who is now incarcerated for 30 years due to offenses related to the sexual exploitation of underage girls, during a terrible dream she experienced.

She shared in her 2019 message, “I experienced a terrifying dream,” which went something like this: “I found myself stuck in an elevator alongside R Kelly… but then, you miraculously arrived to save me.

Following President Donald Trump’s decision to grant pardons to celebrities such as Todd Chrisley, Julie Chrisley, NBA YoungBoy, and Lil Wayne, it is not impossible that he might also consider adding Sean Combs to this list.

Trump mentioned that people are considering the idea, referring to a possible pardon. He went on to say, “As for me, I’d examine the situation first. Frankly, I haven’t been keeping a close eye on it, but it’s definitely receiving a lot of attention in the media.

The President, who once enjoyed a close relationship with Combs, expressed his intent to investigate the details before making any decision on granting a pardon to the music tycoon.

He stated, “Regardless of whether someone likes me or not, if I believe they were unfairly treated, it won’t change my stance on the matter.

In a WhatsApp message sent in October 2015, as presented during the trial, Mia claimed that the famous rapper didn’t seem to be thinking clearly.

In her message to Kristina Khorram, who was Combs’ top aide at the time, Mia expressed concern because he seemed to be speaking unclear words. Additionally, she stated that he had made veiled threats against her job security and even went as far as saying he would take her life. She mentioned that during other conversations, he had hinted at firing her.

In response, Khorram wrote, “If you don’t call him in the next two minutes, you don’t have a job.”

As a loyal devotee, I found myself in a state of desperation, terror, and sorrow when it came to my interactions with Combs. My testimony reflects these feelings, as I was driven to rectify the situation out of necessity, haunted by fear, and saddened by the turn of events.

On May 29th, I took the stand and shared with prosecutors my eyewitness accounts of my ex-employer allegedly assaulting Ventura on multiple instances.

Mia stated, “I’ve witnessed him shove her roughly onto the ground, it looked as if he intended to cause harm. I’ve seen him behave aggressively, such as trying to hurt her.

She claimed that when she witnessed Combs attacking Ventura, all she observed was the singer raising his arms and plead for him to halt.

Once upon a time, in the beautiful islands of Turks and Caicos, I found myself locked away with Ventura in a cozy hotel room. It was there that he confided in me, whispering words that sent chills down my spine: “I fear Puff is out to get me.

“Mia” alleged that the rap mogul had sexually assaulted her multiple times while working for him.

She informed the court that the initial suspected attack took place during her employer’s 40th birthday celebration at the Plaza Hotel in New York, following her serving him three glasses of vodka.

According to Mia, he moved his arm beside her head, pressed against a wall, and seemed about to kiss her while simultaneously reaching up her dress with the other hand. She asserted that this encounter was not consensual. Mia expressed that she was taken aback and unable to react immediately, as she didn’t fully comprehend what was transpiring at the moment.

The ex-employee additionally stated under oath that there was a time when she was coerced to perform an unwanted sexual act on Combs, which left her feeling degraded. In a heartfelt recollection, Mia expressed feelings of panic and helplessness, believing the incident was her fault.

On the witness stand, Deonte Nash provided details about the short-lived relationship between Michael B. Jordan and Ventura.

Nash clarified that as they were growing closer, they were “exploring their relationship by spending time together and learning more about each other.

As a lifestyle expert, I’d put it this way: In 2015, following my client’s separation from Diddy, I personally facilitated an introduction between Ventura and the Black Panther star, which led to them connecting, as confirmed by my testimony.

Nash said of his decision, “He fine. She fine. I mean, why not?”

Judge Arun Subramanian swiftly denied the defense’s May 28 request for a mistrial.

As an ardent admirer, I can’t help but share my dismay when I learned that the team representing Combs disputed the testimony of Lance Jimenez, a key witness for the prosecution. This gentlemen was summoned to discuss the unfortunate incident involving Kid Cudi’s car being engulfed in flames back in January 2012. The crux of the matter lies in the fact that Mr. Jimenez stated that crucial evidence – fingerprints collected during the investigation – had been annihilated, leaving many questions unanswered.

Defense lawyer Marc Agnifilo contended that the evidence regarding the missing fingerprints should not be considered as it implied that someone within the courtroom might have been involved in their disposal or damage.

The judge upheld Anifilo’s protest, however, refused Alexandra Shapiro’s request for a trial to be declared a mistrial.

Following the discovery that his intermittent girlfriend, Ventura, was in a relationship with Kid Cuti (real name Scott Mescudi), accusations arose from Capricorn Clark, a previous employee of Combs, claiming he had threatened their lives.

Previously employed aide, who additionally verified purchasing a temporary phone for her bond with Mescudi due to concern for her wellbeing, stated that the event transpired subsequent to the hip-hop tycoon reportedly invading Mescudi’s residence.

She informed the jury about Combs that he was extremely enraged; in fact, he expressed intense frustration, saying something along the lines of ‘I wish I could harm you all and mar her face.’

Clark claims that following his discovery about Ventura and Mescudi’s relationship, Combs is said to have visited the “Pursuit of Happiness” artist’s residence armed with a firearm on December 22, 2011.

She informed the jury that there were individuals, among them Combs, standing at her doorstep. It was apparent to her that he was enraged, as he was moving restlessly, and his gestures hinted at him holding an object. Unfortunately, she couldn’t make out what it was exactly.

She added, “‘Put on some clothes, let’s head out to confront Mescudi,’ he stated. I replied, ‘I don’t feel like going.’ He responded brusquely, ‘I couldn’t care less about your preferences.’ His anger was palpable, intense, and directed at me. I had never witnessed such behavior before. Neither had he ever visited my home nor did I see him with a weapon.

Clark is reported to have phoned Ventura to inform her that Combs had supposedly brought Clark armed and with the intention of killing Cudi at his residence.

Clark stated that following the disappearance of three expensive jewelry items – specifically, a bracelet and a diamond watch among them – she became a suspect and underwent polygraph examination.

She claimed that a “large-built man” threatened her, stating that if she didn’t pass the test, “he would push me into the East River.

She stated under oath that she had been worried about the potential consequences if she didn’t succeed, and he advised her to relax, saying, “If you don’t calm down, you might end up in the East River.

She said the test took five days to prove her innocence.

Clark, a former employee, claimed that Combs became angry when he learned Ventura was dating Mescudi. On the morning of December 22, 2011, Combs reportedly showed up at Clark’s apartment with a gun, saying, “Get dressed, we’re going to hurt Mescudi.

To be completely honest, I’ve never witnessed anything quite like what I saw that day. The way he was behaving had me on the edge of my seat, wondering what unexpected twist was coming next.

In my own words, I can say that I was instructed by Combs to contact Ventura and inform her that he wasn’t going to permit me to depart unless Ventura made an appearance. Upon Ventura’s agreement, as I was informed, I arranged to collect the artist and we both returned to Combs’ residence.

According to Clark’s testimony, Combs began attacking Ventura by both hitting and kicking him. She stated that none of the people on Combs’ security team tried to stop the attack, and she didn’t either because Combs warned her that she would suffer the same fate if she did.

Clark stated that she phoned Regina Ventura, Ventura’s mother, and said, “He is brutally attacking your daughter. I am beyond my capabilities here. Please provide assistance. She needs help, and I can’t contact the authorities, but you can.

In 2012, she was let go due to her failure to disclose information about Ventura and Kid Cudi. According to Clark’s testimony, he told her, “I will ensure you never work again, these people aren’t your friends, I will make you feel like ending your life.

Clark said she returned to the fold as creative director for Ventura from 2016 until 2018.

Clark stated on the 27th of May that she suggested Ventura switch to a new phone – one that wasn’t being paid for by Combs – as a means of communicating with Kid Cudi, during their brief relationship in 2011.

Clark stated that they purchased a temporary phone from Best Buy because they believed the singer might endanger everyone due to his erratic behavior.

In 2012, shortly after his car had a fire, Mescudi remembered discussing an incident with Combs. He claimed that Combs and his companions had burglarized his home in December 2011, following news of his short-lived relationship with Ventura.

Following the arson of Mescudi’s car in January 2012, an incident he attributed to Combs, he described a later encounter between them in a hotel meeting room in Los Angeles. In this setting, Combs was said to be standing by a window with his hands behind his back, resembling a Marvel villain.

The 41-year-old testified, stating that he and I were the only ones in the room. He detailed our entire journey of dating Cassie and its eventual conclusion. His main argument was ‘You were with my woman,’ to which I responded, ‘She told me you had broken up and I believed her.’

He remained composed and gave me water on two separate occasions, but it felt strange and unsettling. His composure was disconcerting. Eventually, Cassie arrived. I was dismayed to discover she had returned to him. Essentially, she conveyed that they had developed feelings for each other, circumstances just unfolded in this way.

Over these past few days, as I eagerly followed Ventura’s emotional testimony about the distressing incidents she claims were inflicted by Combs, I found myself struck by a chilling statement she made: “I ended things with Mescudi after he threatened, ‘I’m going to harm us both.’

Following their conversation at the LA hotel meeting room before matters escalated, they stood up, exchanged a firm handshake.

Mescudi recounted, “I asked him, ‘How are we going to handle my vehicle situation?’ He replied, seeming unsure, ‘I’m not aware of what you’re referring to.’ After a pause, he inquired, ‘Are we good?’ To which I responded, ‘Well, you torched my car.’

Mescudi shared insight into two incidents, which he blames Combs for, during his testimony.

In December 2011, the musician known as “The Pursuit of Happiness” claimed that he received a call from Combs, following reports that Combs, along with his companions, forcibly entered the musician’s home. This alleged incident occurred after news surfaced about the musician’s relationship with Ventura, who had an on-off romance with Combs between 2007 and 2018.

Mescudi testified that he responded, “What’s going on?” The individual replied. I retorted, “Hey, is this your house I’m in?” To which he answered, “Yes, I’ve been waiting for you.

While he said he wanted to “fight” Combs, he decided not to since he wasn’t sure who was with him.

Later in February, Mescudi’s vehicle was set ablaze with a Molotov cocktail (found in the driver’s seat according to him) approximately 45 minutes before reaching his residence.

Previously, Ventura claimed in her later-settled 2023 lawsuit against Combs that he threatened to destroy Mescudi’s vehicle following the revelation of their relationship. In her suit, she asserted, “Around this period, Kid Cudi’s car experienced an explosion in his driveway.

On the seventh day of Combs’ trial, wrapping up on May 20th, the rapper addressed everyone present in the courtroom with a statement.

In a courtroom as the day ended, he declared, “I love each of you,” according to People magazine. Softly, almost to himself, he followed up with, “Yep, I do.

After his statement, Combs addressed a lady in the audience, mentioning someone who seemed to be his son, Justin Combs, aged 31, by saying, “Could you kindly convey my thoughts to Justin for me?

On May 20th, Regina Ventura stated under oath that in the year 2011, Diddy (Combs) allegedly threatened to disclose intimate videos of his daughter, Cassie Ventura, following her relationship with Mescudi, based on what she claimed.

Regina testified that she became severely unwell due to shock,” she said, explaining her reaction upon discovering the sex tape. “It was utterly confusing and distressing for me. The person involved in the video was attempting to harm my daughter. He demanded $20,000 because she was dating Scott Mescudi.

She claimed that she and her spouse, Rodrick Ventura, resorted to taking out a home equity loan as the means of acquiring the necessary funds. Furthermore, she stated that this was the sole method they had available for securing the money.

As for why Combs demanded the lump sum?

She informed the prosecutors that he was in a state of frustration, as he had invested funds on her but discovered she was involved with someone else.

David James disclosed details about Combs’ luggage during his testimony, revealing approximately 25 to 30 bottle caps containing pills. Among these, he mentioned, were some featuring the likeness of former President Barack Obama.

According to court records obtained by NBC News, the former aide testified that there were several pills available, but one of them bore the likeness of a past president, whom he identified as President Obama.

James stated that Combs was known to carry over $10,000 in cash, pain relievers like Advil and Tylenol, Viagra for erectile dysfunction, and pills said to boost his sperm count, all in a Louis Vuitton bag. Furthermore, he claimed that the rap mogul had Percocet and ecstasy concealed as well.

During his testimony, James informed the jury that there were always around $10,000 in cash, pain relievers like Advil and Tylenol, erectile dysfunction medication such as Viagra, and pills to boost sperm production, among Combs’ usual items in his overnight bag.

As a die-hard devotee, let me share my perspective: I’ve always maintained that Diddy, or Combs as some call him, was harboring Percocet and ecstasy – substances I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy. His former assistant claimed to have seen him take these illicit items, an allegation that still haunts me to this day.

The prosecution provided a peek at the rapper’s room at the Park Hyatt hotel in New York, where he was apprehended on September 16th.

The images captured by Homeland Security’s Special Agent Yasin Binda, who provided testimony about the findings, showed several items such as baby oil and Astroglide stored in Ziploc bags, five bottles of baby oil found in the bathtub, two additional bottles of lubricant kept in a drawer, two packets of a powdery substance, and $9,000 in cash.

As per Binda’s report, the substances discovered within those two bags hidden inside a prescription container were confirmed to contain both ketamine and a blend of ketamine and MDMA.

A previous acquaintance of Ventura’s declared on May 19th that they personally observed Combs physically abusing Ventura during their vacation in Jamaica, and also witnessed this abuse at a home he rented in the Hollywood Hills.

Kerry Morgan testified that her 17-year friendship with Ventura concluded following an incident at his apartment in 2018, where Combs allegedly assaulted her. At the time, they were listening to music together according to NBC News. Combs reportedly approached from behind and choked her, leaving finger marks on her neck, and struck her on the head with a wooden hanger near the back of her right ear. Cassie was in the bathroom during this occurrence.

In summary, she retained a legal representative, Morgan clarified, yet didn’t initiate a court case and consented to put her signature on a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) as part of receiving a payment of $30,000.

According to Morgan’s testimony, it has been silent between us since then, as my last conversation with Sean occurred on the night of the incident, and the last time I encountered Cassie was when I put my signature on the Non-Disclosure Agreement.

Moreover, during her court appearance, Morgan stated that she had already progressed in her personal life, but was compelled to attend due to a government summons for her testimony.

She stated that she recommended Ventura to part ways with Combs, but she indicated she couldn’t do so due to her employment, her vehicle, and her residence.

During questioning from defense attorney Marc Agnifilo, Morgan explained that she ceased communicating with Ventura as he failed to offer support following the 2018 event. Furthermore, she emphasized that she would not tolerate any form of physical violence.

Dawn Richard, a former member of Danity Kane, declared on May 16th that she observed Chris Brown allegedly chasing his ex-girlfriend Ventura with a skillet filled with eggs back in 2009.

Downstairs, he appeared angry and yelled, ‘Where on earth are my eggs?’ He also scolded Cassie, saying she always makes mistakes. ‘Where is my food?’ he exclaimed, as well. Richard’s testimony, as recorded by the court transcript obtained by NBC News, further revealed that he approached the skillet with the eggs and attempted to strike her on the head. This caused Cassie to fall to the ground.

Ventura “went into the fetal position,” Richard continued, “literally trying to hide her head.”

During the testimony on May 15, Ventura stated that there were no drugs blended with the baby oil Combs preferred for his “freak offs” sessions, as there were no substances added to it.

2024 saw a legal claim made towards Combs in October, accusing him of adding GHB (also known as Rohypnol, a substance frequently associated with ‘date rape’) into the oil.

During the cross-examination under defense questioning on May 15th, Ventura stated that Combs could become agitated and have a volatile response when she socialized with drugs and didn’t include him in these activities.

She mentioned that Combs had previously overdosed on painkillers. When defense attorney Anna Estevao inquired whether her former partner’s mood changes were linked to medications, Ventura replied affirmatively, stating that “such instances were indeed a part” of the picture.

Earlier in the day, I asked her about Combs’ substance use habits. She replied by expressing that in her opinion, he struggled with addiction.

Her response confirmed that Combs did indeed get upset or agitated during his withdrawal period.

“I’m not a doctor,” Ventura said, but “coming off of certain pills he would be pretty irritated.”

During Ventura’s testimony on May 15, Judge Arun Subramanian temporarily adjourned the court as Combs’ defense presented graphic emails and texts during their cross-examination.

In the court proceedings, Defense Attorney Estevao showed Ventura sexually suggestive communications exchanged by them as a pair in 2009 to support their consenting relationship claim. However, the prosecution contested this evidence, and the judge agreed with their objection.

After hearing the objection, Ventura was spotted talking quietly to the judge, causing the judge to unexpectedly call for a 10-minute recess.

Before the jury’s arrival, a vigorous discussion arose between prosecution and defense as the leading defense lawyer, Marc Agniflio, advocated for additional text messages to be presented in court. However, the judge expressed concern that some of these messages may not comply with federal evidence regulations.

Nevertheless, several pieces of evidence were allowed, containing explicit discussions between Combs and Ventura regarding their intimate relationships.

Testifying on the 15th of May, Ventura admitted that she couldn’t definitively say how many instances she participated in, which she referred to as “freak offs,” alongside Combs. However, she made it clear that these incidents numbered in the hundreds.

She claimed that her former partner secretly recorded their intimate acts with the intention of using them for extortion. She stated that he threatened to disclose these recordings, potentially damaging her professional standing.

Ventura stated, “He often brought them up when he was frustrated or angry. It was quite a regular occurrence. However, it was deeply troubling and distasteful. I was concerned for both my professional life and my family’s wellbeing. It was all incredibly humiliating. It’s despicable and inhumane. No one deserves to be treated that way.
