The “Jujutsu Kaisen” series has been generating quite a bit of excitement recently, and it seems that this week could see even more activity as fresh details are hinted at during this year’s Anime Expo event on June 6, 2025. Although it remains to be seen what the outcome of this event might be for the popular shonen series by Gege Akutami, there’s a strong possibility that it could involve updates about the eagerly awaited second season sequel.
According to the verified Twitter account of TOHO Animation (previously known as X), Jujutsu Kaisen’s anime is set to host a special occasion on June 6, during Anime Expo in Los Angeles, USA. Remarkably, Yuji Itadori’s voice actor, Junya Enoki, along with Yuta Okkotsu’s voice actor, Megumi Ogata, will be attending as special guests. This announcement has left fans buzzing, mainly due to speculation about Season 3. It’s been a while since we had any official updates regarding the season, and given that Anime Japan didn’t yield any substantial information, fans are looking forward to this event for potential news on Season 3.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 Could Finally Have New Information
The most captivating part of this news is that the voice actors for Itadori and Yuta are going to be there, which might be hinting at something. For those who aren’t aware, season 3 will kick off with the Itadori Extermination arc, but it’s expected to cover the Culling Games as a whole. The initial episodes will focus on this arc, and there are some thrilling moments, like Naoya and the Zenin Clan’s debut, but the main event is the fight between Yuji and Okkotsu. It’s common for voice actors of primary characters to help announce anime sequels, but Enoki and Ogata being present at this event is quite intriguing.
Following the conclusion of season 2 and at last year’s Jump Festa event, all we received was a key visual showing Yuji seated on a staircase, with no further updates since then. The upcoming season 3 will delve into the Culling Games arc, where our primary characters are compelled to engage in a brutal tournament-like battle that spans across Japan, aiming to thwart Kenjaku and liberate Gojo from his imprisonment. Packed with relentless action, new intriguing characters, and a significant plot twist that will shape the series’ trajectory, the Culling Games promises to be extraordinary if executed effectively.
This weekend promises an exciting update for the franchise’s followers, as we’ll be sharing insights about the series’ advancements. It’s been over 2 years since season 2 premiered, and it seems that the next installment could arrive sooner than expected, possibly towards the end of this year or early in 2026. With a film already in theaters and another one set for release in October, the fanbase is revitalized and eager, as they’ve been waiting for new anime content or manga for quite some time now.
