Later this weekend, Adult Swim is planning to air a tribute series of episodes in memory of Jonathan Joss, who played the role of John Redcorn on King of the Hill. Sadly, news broke this week that Joss was fatally shot in what appears to be a hate crime. Fans have been expressing their condolences and sharing heartfelt tributes since then. Many will remember Joss as the voice actor for John Redcorn, a humorous character often at odds with Dale Gribble on the show.

“King of the Hill,” an iconic adult animated series, is set to return this Summer with fresh episodes exclusively on Hulu. In remembrance of Joss, some special King of the Hill episodes will be broadcasted by Adult Swim, focusing on John Redcorn’s significant role. The chosen episodes – “Nancy Boys,” “Vision Quest,” and “Hair Today, Gone Today” – will air on Adult Swim starting at 5:00PM ET on June 8th. Joss, along with many other familiar voices, has returned to their roles, but we’re still waiting to find out what part John Redcorn will play in these new episodes. It’s been quite some time since the original show ended, so it seems that John may have expanded his success even further, as hinted at in Season 9’s episode “Redcorn Gambles with His Future” and future appearances.

Regarding any possible future appearances of John Redcorn on King of the Hill, the creators haven’t shared their plans at this point in time. It’s uncertain if they will retire the character or consider a different actor to portray him. Previously, they recast the role when Joss replaced Victor Aaron during season 2, and similarly, they recast Dale Gribble for the recent revival series.
