Coronation Street sets up Eileen Grimshaw’s exit in ITVX episode

On Monday, June 2nd, 2025, Eileen’s recently-arrived son Jason (Ryan Thomas), unknowingly, ended up sleeping with Danielle Silverton (Natalie Anderson) – who is estranged from her husband Theo Silverton (James Cartwright), Todd’s (Gareth Pierce) boyfriend.

The relationship between Jason and Todd became strained, prompting Jason to consider departing again, this time inviting Eileen along with him.

Jason wants Eileen to move to Thailand with him, and go into business together.

However, as the ITV soap opera progressed, Eileen clarified that her partner, Tony Maudsley’s character George Shuttleworth, would never entertain such an idea.

George was surprised when Jason shared Eileen’s response, and later on, he confided in Eileen that he had been ready to move to Thailand with her, provided he could first arrange the affairs of the Undertakers company.

How might Eileen react when she learns that George has arranged a vacation to Thailand, with their departure just a day away, since he plans to explore the country as a potential long-term residence?

As the week progresses, it becomes clear to Eileen that Theo will inform his daughter, Millie, that he cannot bear to live a false life and desires to be with Todd instead.
