Death in Paradise Writer’s Crookhaven Casts Star-Studded Young Talent

The cast for the BBC’s upcoming adaptation of JJ Arcanjo’s novels, Crookhaven, has been announced.

The creator of Death in Paradise, Justin Young, has revealed that the upcoming series will be led by Dougray Scott, known for Vigil and Mission Impossible II to some viewers.

In the upcoming eight-episode series, Scott will portray Caspian Lockett, who serves as both the headmaster and leader of Crookhaven, a unique educational institution designed specifically for criminals.

In a heartfelt declaration, I can’t help but express my exhilaration at diving into this captivating family saga. I eagerly anticipate collaborating with every single gifted artist involved in this project, aiming to breathe life into this memorable character.

In the upcoming project, actress Claire Forlani from the industry will portray the enigmatic character of Carmen. Additionally, it has been confirmed that Keith Allen, known for his role in Trainspotting, and Naomi Wirthner from Slow Horses will also be part of the cast.

The characters of the students, or Crooklings, will be portrayed by a collective cast. Lucas Leach from FBI International takes on the role of Gabriel Avery, while Carmel Laniado, known for The Witcher, plays the Headmaster’s daughter. Amari Bacchus (Adolescence) and Leila Khan (Heartstopper) will bring Penelope, Gabriel’s rival, to life on screen.
