Ballerina

Release date: Friday 6th June in cinemas

In the newest addition to the John Wick series, Ana de Armas assumes the primary role. This film is positioned between the third and fourth installments and centers around Eve Macarro, a ballet-skilled assassin character, who was previously hinted at in a brief scene during Chapter 3 (previously portrayed by Unity Phelan).

The movie initially presents a short glimpse of Eve’s childhood, then chronicles her journey learning the assassin skills of the Ruska Roma. Spurred by her father’s demise, she embarks on a quest for retribution. Alongside Armas, the star-studded cast features Anjelica Huston and Gabriel Byrne, as well as recurring characters played by Ian McShane, Lance Reddick (who sadly passed away), and Keanu Reeves, who rose to fame in the John Wick series.

Clown in a Cornfield

Release date: Friday 6th June in cinemas

The horror movie in question is adapted from a young adult novel titled “Kettle Springs” penned by Adam Cesare. In this film, Katie Douglas portrays Quinn, a teenage girl who has recently relocated along with her father, Aaron Abrams, to the peaceful Missouri town of Kettle Springs.

Soon after their arrival, they discover two vital facts about the town and its populace: the local corn syrup factory’s devastating fire has left them in financial distress, and there exists a disturbing mystery surrounding the clown mascot of that factory – who resurfaces years later to terrorize the town, having previously murdered two adolescents.

How To Train Your Dragon

Release date: Friday 13th June in cinemas

I’m thrilled to share that this project represents DreamWorks’ initial foray into transforming one of their animated masterpieces into live-action, a task they’ve entrusted to the original director Dean DuBlois. Moreover, it brings us back the legendary Gerard Butler, who once again embodies the iconic character, Stoick the Vast.

The movie retells the original story, reproducing crucial scenes scene-by-scene, while Mason Thames and Nico Parker assume the lead characters of Hiccup and Astrid respectively. Additionally, Nick Frost portrays the role of the dragon training instructor, Gobber the Belch.

Lollipop

Release date: Friday 13th June in cinemas

In a first foray into narrative storytelling, renowned documentary filmmaker Daisy-May Hudson (previously recognized as a BAFTA Breakthrough Brit) presents this social-realist drama. The lead role is played by emerging talent, Posy Sterling.

Molly, who portrays a young mother recently released from prison after a four-month sentence, encounters a challenging predicament when attempting to regain custody of her children from foster care: she’s unable to secure housing because she doesn’t have the kids with her; yet, she can’t get them back unless she has a stable home.

Tornado

Release date: Friday 13th June in cinemas

10 years since his last film, “Slow West,” John Maclean is back as both writer and director, offering an unusual blend of samurai and Western themes set amidst the breathtaking Scottish highlands in the late 1790s. Leading roles are filled by acting veterans Tim Roth and Jack Lowden in this unconventional Western tale.

The movie chronicles Kôki’s journey following an attack on her father’s puppet samurai performance, instigated by a infamous gang. In response, Kôki pledges revenge by retrieving their stolen riches.

Elio

Release date: Friday 20th June in cinemas

In their most recent production, Pixar has ventured back into unique narrative creation, departing from last year’s Inside Out 2 sequel. This new film presents a captivating sci-fi tale about a child with a vivid imagination who gets inadvertently transported to an interstellar organization known as the Communiverse.

During his stay, he mistakenly gets labeled as Earth’s envoy to the cosmos and begins forging friendships with quirky extraterrestrials, whose voices are provided by celebrities like Jameela Jamil and Shirley Henderson.

28 Years Later

Release date: Friday 20th June in cinemas

In a new take on post-apocalyptic horror, filmmakers Danny Boyle and Alex Garland revisit the world they created in the critically-acclaimed 2002 movie “28 Days Later.” Set nearly three decades since the outbreak of the rage virus, this sequel continues the story.

For this upcoming chapter, there will be an entirely fresh set of actors taking on major roles: Jodie Comer, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ralph Fiennes, Jack O’Connell, and newcomer Alfie Williams. Moreover, it is being marketed as the initial part of a completely new trilogy.

F1

Release date: Wednesday 25th June in cinemas

A substantial amount of funding went into the production of the sports drama directed by Joseph Kosinski, who worked together with Formula One’s administrative body, and features Damson Idris and Brad Pitt as its main cast members.

Brad Pitt portrays a once-prominent racer whose career was cut short by an accident in the ’90s. Thirty years later, he is coaxed out of retirement to guide the talented newcomer, Joshua “Noah” Pearce (Damson), who is making his debut.

M3GAN 2.0

Release date: Friday 27th June in cinemas

Approximately two and a half years following the viral success of M3GAN the doll, she returns in a fresh sequel that takes place two years after her destructive spree.

Since then, a defense contractor developed a sophisticated military weapon named AMELIA, who has grown less inclined to follow commands and now poses a significant danger. Recognizing the situation, M3GAN’s creator, Gemma (Alison Williams), realizes there’s only one solution: she needs to enhance M3GAN with cutting-edge upgrades so that she can defend herself effectively.
