Silent Hill 2 Remake’s Born From a Wish is Coming Later This Year as DLC – Rumor

As a gaming enthusiast, I can’t help but share the buzz that’s been swirling around lately! If the whispers of a fresh 2.5D Metroidvania spin-off titled “God of War” aren’t already electrifying us, there’s talk that Bloober Team’s remake of the chilling classic, “Silent Hill 2,” might be getting some DLC this year! Now, here’s a scoop dropped by the trusted leaker, Aesthetic Gamer, also known as Dusk Golem. He hinted at a “VERY high chance” that we could soon hear an announcement about “Born from a Wish.” So, keep your eyes peeled and fingers crossed!

It’s said that Bloober Team started working on this project even before the remake was launched. But for some time now, they haven’t received any updates about it. However, given the latest disclosures, the project is apparently still in progress and aims to be released by the end of the year.

In a pre-event setup to the main game’s storyline, “Born from a Wish” introduces Maria as the central character, detailing events that transpired before her encounter with James Sunderland. Given Sony’s State of Play today at 2 PM PDT, it might very well be unveiled as additional paid content for the remake.

There’s been talk about the possible launch of Xbox Series X/S, despite the rumor that the Silent Hill 2 remake may be exclusive to PS5 for a year. Although no official confirmation has been given, there remains a possibility that something related to it is in development. In simpler terms, it’s plausible that they have made some progress on it.

In the interim, keep an eye out for further updates and announcements. The much-anticipated remake of Silent Hill 2 is now accessible on PS5 and PC platforms. As of January 2025, it has already sold more than two million copies.
