This time around, it’s being published by the talented folks at Vertigo Games, known for their work on Arizona Sunshine, and they’re teaming up with Eidos Montreal. The development is being handled by Maze Theory. This VR reboot, titled Thief VR: Legacy of Shadow, is set to release towards the end of this year, available on PlayStation VR2, PC VR, and Meta Quest 2/3/3S. In this revival, the story brings us back to the renowned City, where our new protagonist, Magpie, dwells. Born and bred among the streets, she relies on theft for survival. However, her life takes an unexpected turn when she unearths a peculiar artifact that seems to link with the past. Judging from the preview, it appears that this could be none other than Garrett from the original trilogy.

Regarding the gameplay, it incorporates classic elements similar to Thief, such as moving stealthily across rooftops and narrow alleyways while blending into the darkness. The game allows you to steal from guards and offers a variety of arrow types at your disposal. Additionally, there are numerous routes to traverse for each heist, providing ample opportunities for exploration.
