Ultimately, Warner Bros has chosen to conclude the journey by collaborating with Digital Eclipse, a renowned name in retro gaming, to launch the original Mortal Kombat series on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.

Similar to the Atari 50, Mortal Kombat Legacy Kollection isn’t simply a collection of old-school fighting games; it’s essentially a digital archive, offering behind-the-scenes material and multiple iterations of the original games that the team managed to acquire.

The collection encompasses arcade editions similar to Mortal Kombat, Mortal Kombat 2, up to Mortal Kombat 4, along with handheld adaptations, and everything in-between. A significant number of these games will be playable using rollback netcode.
