I’m Not Even A Huge Popcorn Lover, And I Need Disney World’s Pride Bucket Stat

Recently, popcorn buckets have become quite popular in movie theaters, replacing standard snack containers with novelty items for each blockbuster. But for regular theme park goers, this craze isn’t new – lines for these buckets can be longer than the rides themselves! Despite not typically collecting them, the latest Pride-themed popcorn bucket at Disney World and Disneyland has sparked a change of heart in me.

As a movie buff, I’m not one to munch on popcorn outside the theater or hoard items that merely gather dust in my collection. But this latest Pride Bucket, with Mickey Mouse’s hands cradling a radiant rainbow heart, is an exception. It’s almost ethereal, and

At Disney Parks, it’s difficult not to encounter numerous popcorn containers, each one unique in its design. Today, Disney World introduced another design, blending the iconic Mickey ears style with Epcot’s geodesic sphere shape. Not every design becomes an instant success and sells out, but you can bet that they won’t be hard to find on eBay, often at inflated prices.

For quite some time now, popcorn buckets have been a beloved staple at theme parks. However, they’ve also grown in significance in movie theaters, transforming into a thriving business. Nowadays, we see increasingly elaborate popcorn bucket designs and complex structures as each film strives to create a unique bucket that sets it apart from others.

My main concern about using popcorn buckets is finding a suitable place to store them when not in use during popcorn consumption. They’re great for enjoying a snack while exploring a theme park, but afterwards, they can be hard to manage. At least this one looks nice sitting on a shelf as a display piece. Unlike many other popcorn buckets that become unused toys, this one serves as a symbol of affection for Disney and support for the community in one action. I find that idea appealing.

During Pride month, Disney Parks typically introduce captivating and distinctive merchandise. Despite Disney’s support or perceived lack thereof for the LGBTQ+ community causing controversy on various occasions, it’s clear that they are not intending to completely disassociate themselves from Pride, which is a significant statement in itself.

It’s likely that the bucket will do quite well at Disneyland during their Pride Night festivities later in June. Just like last year, they are hosting an exclusive after-hours event with special tickets on June 16 and 18. Given its popularity last year, it seems the event is set to be another success this time around.

The bucket can currently be found at specific spots, including both Walt Disney World and Disneyland. As long as stock lasts, it’s expected to stay, but given the pace of sales, it may not be there for much longer.
