At Sony’s recent State of Play event, we’ve got a flurry of release dates dropping, and one of them is for Bandai Namco’s “Digimon Story: Time Stranger”. This role-playing game will be available starting October 3rd on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. Take a look at the latest story trailer to get a taste of what awaits you.
In essence, you’ll assume the role of either Dan or Kanan Yuki, a time-traveling agent, sent back eight years into the past. Your mission is to prevent a looming disaster in Shinjuku. As expected, Digimon play a part, and this time around, gameplay involves traversing between the human world and the Digital World Iliad to uncover hidden truths. You’ll embark on quests and delve into exploration to achieve your goal.
Interestingly, it appears that Plutomon, the leader of the Titans, seems to be instigating the impending conflict. Other events hinted at in the trailer involve the falling of the World Tree, a catastrophic event as the World Tree is the foundation of the Digital World. For game enthusiasts, there will be over 450 Digimon to interact with, strategic turn-based combat and numerous customization options available.
