Wicked For Good – TRAILER

The blockbuster hit movie adaptation of last year’s worldwide cinematic cultural phenomenon, Wicked, which amassed a record-breaking $756m at the global box office, is now approaching its thrilling, electrifying, emotional finale. This is signaled by the unveiling of the Wicked For Good trailer.

In this new installment by acclaimed director Jon M. Chu, we find our beloved cast reuniting for one last adventure, spearheaded by award-winning actors Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande. This final chapter of the Oz witches’ untold tale opens with Elphaba and Glinda having grown apart, each grappling with the repercussions of their past decisions.

The last movie in the series directed by Jon M. Chu features the same great cast, led by Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande. In this film, Elphaba and Glinda are no longer friends due to choices they’ve made in the past, and they must live with the consequences of those decisions.

In a state of outcasting, Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo), once maligned as The Wicked Witch of the West, resides in secret amidst the Ozian woodlands, persisting with her campaign for animal liberty and striving to disclose the truth she possesses about The Wizard (Jeff Goldblum). Concurrently, Glinda flourishes as a beacon of goodness across all of Oz, dwelling at the Emerald City palace and basking in the benefits of fame and adoration. Guided by Madame Morrible (Michelle Yeoh, winner of an Oscar®), Glinda is tasked with soothing the people of Oz, conveying that all remains well under The Wizard’s governance.

As Glinda’s fame escalates and she prepares for her grand wedding with Prince Fiyero (renowned actor Jonathan Bailey), she is tormented by her past separation from Elphaba. She tries to mediate a reconciliation between Elphaba and The Wizard, but these attempts will prove unsuccessful, pushing Elphaba and Glinda even farther apart. This rift will profoundly alter Boq (Tony-nominated Ethan Slater) and Fiyero, and potentially endanger Nessarose (Marissa Bode), Elphaba’s sister, when a girl from Kansas unexpectedly enters their lives.

As the crowd turns against the Wicked Witch, Glinda and Elphaba may be forced to reunite one last time. With their friendship now serving as the foundation of their destinies, they must look at each other with understanding and sincerity if they are to transform themselves and Oz for the better.
