As a gamer diving into the new Nintendo Switch 2 experience, I’ve noticed that the initial game offered – Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour – doesn’t let me achieve a full completion until I invest in additional console accessories. Recently pointed out by NintendoSoup, Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour showcases 12 unique exhibitions, each one highlighting a specific hardware or software feature of the console. However, certain exhibits demand these extra accessories to unlock their full potential.
To enjoy all the exhibits in the Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour, you’ll need a few essential accessories. For some games, you’ll require a USB camera, while others can be played with a Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller or Joy-Con 2 Charging Grip. However, any controller with GL and GR buttons will suffice for the minigame. Additionally, one game requires a TV or monitor that supports a resolution of 4K, as well as for a tech demo.
In the Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour, players can earn medals by completing mini-games. To fully complete the game, all these earned medals must be collected. Unfortunately, three of these medals are hidden and can only be obtained if the player spends additional money on certain accessories. The Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour offers a total of 34 distinct mini-games and tech demonstrations.
The “Nintendo Switch 2 Introduction Event” was unveiled in April, during a presentation focusing on revealing additional information about the console. Unlike games like Astro’s Playroom on the PS5, the “Nintendo Switch 2 Introduction Event” serves as a tutorial for players to understand some of the console’s key features. However, unlike a free tutorial, this event is a paid game, retailing at $10, which has sparked some controversy regarding the Nintendo Switch 2.
In response, Bill Trinen, Vice President of Product and Player Experience at Nintendo of America, explained that the $10 cost for the Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour was not excessive. Instead, he described the game as a substantial software package.
According to Trinen, there are individuals who have a keen interest in the technical aspects and specifications of the system. He believes this product will be excellent for them since it offers detailed information about the system as opposed to a general overview of its functions.
Due to the exceptional effort and dedication the team invested, it seems reasonable to conclude that they deemed $9.99 as a fair price, offering great value for the product’s quality.
This month, we’ve got a sneak peek at the Nintendo Switch 2 Grand Tour, which unveiled 12 diverse settings and a handful of mini-games designed to showcase the console’s distinctive capabilities.
If you’d like to give the Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour a go, here’s all the essential information you require.
