Originally premiered in 2023, Criminal Code is a riveting action thriller cop drama that you’ve been eagerly waiting for, as its intense second season has just dropped on streaming platforms. Featuring Romulo Braga, Maeve Jinkings, Pedro Caetano, Thomas Aquino, Alex Nader, Daniel Blanco, Leticia Tomazella, and Jorge Paz, the second season of the crime drama “Criminal Code” is now available for streaming on Netflix. For a glimpse into the plotline of the upcoming series, here’s an overview…
Suellen and Benício have returned, but their work is still unfinished. Currently, the focus of the federal police has shifted to Isaac and his Ghost Gang. As they continue to execute audacious crimes, apprehending this notorious criminal duo won’t be an easy task.
Get Bingeing, as ‘Criminal Code’ Season 2 Is Now Streaming on Netflix
Despite not receiving much recognition compared to other action projects on Netflix, “Criminal Code” Season 1 managed to gain some popularity initially. In fact, it ranked number one among Netflix’s top 10 Non-English Shows worldwide and accumulated over six million views, as confirmed by the streaming service.
The movie “Criminal Code” hasn’t gathered enough critic reviews to assign a critical rating on Rotten Tomatoes, but it has earned a very positive 95% feedback from viewers on Popcornmeter. Since then, the majority of reviews for “Criminal Code” Season 2 have been favorable, with many praising the series and acknowledging that while it has some flaws, it surpasses its first season in quality.
According to The Review Geek’s Greg Wheeler, “Criminal Code” is back with an encore performance, delivering the same thrilling drama that made the initial season a captivating view. Meanwhile, Jonathon Wilson from Ready Steady Cut praised the series as exceptionally well-crafted and unique in its atmosphere and personality, but expressed some concerns about the expanding narrative scope. Despite these reservations, both critics are eagerly anticipating Season 3, with Wilson suggesting that if it does return – and he believes it will – it should focus more intently on its core concepts rather than broadening its scope, delving deeper into essential ideas instead of merely presenting them without further exploration.
