Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta’s Khadiyah Lewis Dead at 44

The Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta family has lost one of its own.

On May 30, Khadiyah “KD” Lewis passed away at the age of 44, as confirmed by her brother, Jamaal “Jay” Lewis. The reason for her demise remains undisclosed.

He shared with The Shade Room on June 5 that this period has been incredibly heart-wrenching for him. He genuinely values all the prayers, sympathies, and good thoughts being sent his way.

Khadiyah’s younger brother, Elijah Inegbedion, also expressed his feelings about her passing in a heartfelt Facebook post. He wrote, “For several days now, I’ve struggled to find the right words. It seems impossible to accurately describe the person you were and the impactful legacy you left behind.

May your sister, Khadijah Lewis, have a long life in spirit! You’ve created a remarkable legacy that many aspire to emulate. I appreciate the love you showed me and how you stood by me through thick and thin.

Elijah remarked, “I feel incredibly blessed that God made me your little brother, a sentiment I will always be grateful for. You’re constantly on my mind and in my heart. My love for you is everlasting!

In 2014, Khadiyah gained prominence when she featured on the third season of “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta”. At that time, she was involved in a relationship with rap artist, Young Joc. Subsequently, she continued to appear on the show in subsequent seasons, taking on a supporting role.

Before venturing into reality TV, Khadiyah attended North Springs High School in Atlanta and later graduated from Florida A&M University. Her Instagram bio characterizes her as a multifaceted professional, encompassing the roles of entrepreneur, speaker, consultant, accountant, and brand ambassador.

It has been announced that a memorial service is scheduled for June 14, taking place at the location of her birth in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, as stated in her online death notice.
