I got voices and beats in my head saying this is a Street Fighter 6 Elena guide!
Capcom has released the beast that plagued SF4 back onto its latest entry.
But is she as broken as her SF4 counterpart, and how does one dance mid-fight?
Street Fighter 6 Elena Guide
Initially, no, she’s not as weak as Street Fighter 4’s Elena. Yet, it’s still too early to tell definitively. But based on my observation, she certainly seems to be a high-tier character.
Due to her possessing simple yet powerful combo sequences that deal significant damage when confirmed, her confirmed hits often lead to more hit confirmations and subsequently combos!
Secondly, let’s playfully tap toes together since that’s essentially what she earns a living from. Elena enjoys moving her legs around, and you’ll find plenty of opportunities to do so. Begin with her standard medium kick, it has an extensive reach and can be followed up by a special cancel for combos!
Whenever you catch a whiff, aim for a mid-strength punch and quickly counter with a special move cancellation. While her MK crouch target combo can be decent, it doesn’t connect when the enemy is crouching, so avoid overusing it!

Similar to Mannon’s, her swift strikes come with distinct animations, making it simpler to verify successful hits. On the other hand, HP serves as an effective heavy whiff punish, particularly when used near a wall. Her CHP delivers significant damage, but it shines best when utilized against a wall for approximately 3k damage.

However, the two aerial attacks she possesses, Soaring Raid and Raptor Raid, serve distinct purposes. The lighter one, Soaring Raid, is ideal for quick entries into the battlefield, whereas the heavier Raptor Rage can send opponents skyward, increasing potential combo damage.
In uncertain situations, opt for the Soaring Strike, while confidently choose the Ravaging Blow when you’re certain it will turn your opponent’s day sour.
To put it simply, I find her standard set of tools incredibly adaptable and packed with a multitude of opportunities for aggressive mixups – all without relying on special moves.
Healing Time Not Worth It
In the ongoing SF6 Elena Guide, I’d like to delve into her special moves now. Lynx Song is a move where she dashes forward, evading projectiles if they hit during the animation. However, she has multiple choices from this position. The light kick is safer and pushes back the opponent. In contrast, the medium version propels them towards a scratch wheel combo.
Additionally, the move called “Forward Heavy” in Lynx’s arsenal functions as an overhead and quick, low attacks. Yet, it becomes sluggish if overused. However, by incorporating an extra roll followed by a forward punch into Lynx’s song, you can disrupt their timing and reach from beyond the screen’s boundaries.
So mix up your Lynx song to keep the enemy guessing.
Her DP scratch wheel is completely invincible to air attacks, so punish jumpers constantly!
In addition, remember that her expanded responsibilities could leave you in a difficult position, so it’s important to be aware of whose turn it is, unless she provides an unbeatable solution.

When squaring off against her, I’d advise avoiding any fireball attacks. Why? Well, at just two meters away, her level 2 super can obliterate them and deal significant damage. Instead, try holding down during her super to recover a hefty 15% of your health! This might cut down on the offensive power, but it’ll certainly help you last longer in the battle.

It’s surprising that certain SF6 Elena guides neglect to discuss this particular mechanic, but truth be told, its usefulness isn’t substantial due to the high overall combo damage in the game. This mechanic won’t come to your aid frequently.
In simpler terms, her level 3 super function serves as an escape mechanism, since it’s indestructible against all attacks. If you’re being attacked excessively, use it to defend yourself. For additional tips, watch the enclosed video.
To summarize the SF6 Elena Guide: Emphasis on close-range attacks, unpredictable offensive sequences, and consistent application of pressure! And remember to use a moderately powerful kick as well.
