RHOA’s Kenya Moore & Brit Eady Speak Out on Missing Season 16 Reunion

Don’t expect to see Kenya Moore in the hot seat.

As a lifestyle aficionado, I’d like to share my perspective on a recent development. The star of Real Housewives of Atlanta, speaking directly, expressed her regret over missing the season 16 reunion taping on June 5, following her unexpected departure from the series. In a heartfelt post on X (previously known as Twitter), she conveyed her disappointment at not being included in the upcoming special.

In an episode of Bravo’s reality series in April, the 54-year-old showed alleged explicit pictures of fellow cast member Brit Eady during the opening of her Kenya Moore Hair Spa. This incident occurred amidst growing tension between the two women, leading to Kenya leaving the show’s cast.

In a recent update on her social platform, the celebrity known for reality TV acknowledged the event and extended an apology to Brit (age 38) regarding the misunderstanding.

In expressing my sentiments here, let me be perfectly clear: I wholeheartedly own up to my choices and extend a sincere apology to everyone impacted by them – Brittney, the team behind the scenes, the guests, and all viewers.

Kenya, who has a six-year-old daughter named Brooklyn with former partner Marc Daly, playfully hinted at a potential reappearance on the show, closing her message by expressing, “I’m excited to catch up with everyone again on Bravo in the near future.

Significantly, Brit wasn’t found among those seated on Bravo’s Instagram post of the reunion seating chart, suggesting she was absent during filming as well. Later, she spoke about her choice to miss the event, stating it was her own decision, and addressed the controversy from earlier in the season regarding the photos.

On June 5th, I took to my Instagram Stories to express that recent events have left me shaken,” I penned down. “I find myself unable to share much at this moment, but I feel compelled to clarify one point: the explicit sexual image linked to Episode 5’s events is not mine.

The seating arrangement included Porsha Williams and her long-term friend Shamea Morton, who had disagreements throughout the season, being positioned on either side of host Andy Cohen. Additionally, Phaedra Parks, Cynthia Bailey, Angela Oakley, Kelli Ferrell, and Drew Sidora were all present in the gathering as well.

Way back in November, I was utterly captivated when Andy addressed Kenya’s photograph controversy. Later on, she publicly apologized for it during her guest spot on The Tamron Hall Show, leaving me even more enthralled by the whole ordeal.

He shared that it was pleasing for him to observe her assuming responsibility, as reported by TopMob News earlier. Over the past few months, they’ve had numerous conversations.

Bravo’s unsuccessful endeavor, aiming to showcase our country’s capital, gathered four women who might slip your mind easily – Mary Amons, Lynda Erkiletian, Cat Ommanney, and Stacie Scott Turner – but one of them sought the spotlight so eagerly she intruded at a White House party. More about her will be shared later.

Who?

Vaguely familiar, but…

Once upon a time, DeShawn starred on the same TV show as NeNe Leakes. Surprising, we know.

This one-season Housewife brought nothing to the Orange County table.

Utah’s second season Housewife, Jennie, ended her run with quite a controversy. Back in January 2022, she was dismissed following the reemergence of some offensive and racially insensitive posts from her old Facebook account. Although Jennie later expressed remorse, the harm had already been inflicted.

Her defining trait was “cougar.”

During season 16, the doctor from Orange County was not a fountain of drama. Her temporary marital issues with her husband, who is often seen without a shirt, either Ryne or Ryan, were underwhelming. However, we won’t easily forget Dr. Jen’s overindulgence in wine at the Dubrows’ extremely awkward yet entertaining dinner party.

The initial period of the nurse anesthetist could be succinctly described with a term we fervently hope to avoid repeating: The unfortunate incident known as “Esophageal Mishap.

Katie frequently discussed her charitable endeavors, yet she didn’t seem to do much else on-screen. She was more like a one-time appearance and not a consistent contributor when it came to friendships. Cutting the cast trip short? That’s definitely something unacceptable for a ‘Housewife’.

During the two seasons she spent as a full-time housewife, Charrisse’s marital struggles were quite noticeable, making them stand out among other memories of her. Additionally, her champagne room is another notable aspect of her.

A one-and-done Housewife, Shamari was at least fun?

In season 12, Peggy, who added a splash of diversity to the predominantly white Orange County, turned out to be a vexing figure. The squabbles she engaged in were peculiar, frequently revolving around words she didn’t comprehend, and her actions during the Iceland trip, where she secluded herself in her room for an entire day, hinted that she wasn’t quite suited for this Real Housewives lifestyle.

In contrast to forming a connection with Nigerian costar Wendy Osefo during season eight, Nneka’s storyline in her debut season revolved solely around an alleged accusation that Wendy’s mother was a witch (indeed, quite unexpected). Instead, it would have been fascinating to observe them connecting over their shared culture rather than engaging in a conflict without resolution.

In season 16, Noella whirled around like a whirlwind full of frenzied activity. Although her private hardships (her husband James leaving the country and filing for divorce just before filming began) provided an intriguing backdrop, it was her ongoing drama with Heather Dubrow that prevented her from languishing at the very bottom. With additional time and another season, we might grow fonder of Mrs. Bergener.

In her debut season, she was known as the peacemaker, but by her final season, she transformed into a constant complainer over a tossed cake and baseless accusations of anti-Semitism – it’s hard to recall a swifter decline in reputation on “Real Housewives” than this one.

It appeared as if everything Amber and her spouse, Jim, undertook carried an air of urgency or despair. Interestingly, it was Jim who seemed more entangled in the unfolding drama compared to Amber. Quite an unflattering sight, wouldn’t you agree?

From what we recall, Karen was a dental professional, but it appeared that none of her fellow cast members held her in high regard. Moving on!

This was a real person with a show on Bravo. We promise.

Among the relatively short-lived cast members on RHONY, Jules didn’t stay long enough for a top spot. Nonetheless, she certainly brought plenty of excitement and drama during her time there.

So unnecessary they couldn’t even get individual taglines.

Similar to Sara Al Madani, Nina represented a multifaceted, accomplished Arab woman who seamlessly combined contemporary lifestyle with age-old cultural values. For the most part, she steered clear of the first season’s drama and was occasionally eclipsed by her co-stars’ more prominent, boisterous personas.

Taleen proved to be a valuable contributor during the second season of RHODubai, however, with just one season under our scrutiny, it’s challenging to make definitive assessments about her performance.

For seasons 11 and 12, the long-time contestant on “America’s Next Top Model” chose a peach, but didn’t leave a significant mark in the realm of “Real Housewives of Atlanta,” except for her pregnancy that seemed prolonged throughout her term. However, she did earn praise for her memorable reading of Marlo Hampton during their time in Tokyo.

Normally, we require watching several seasons to rank a new Housewife higher, but Katie made an impressive debut during the 18th season of RHOC, squaring off against veteran Housewife Heather Dubrow right away. It takes a bold woman to challenge someone as high-society as Ms. Fancypants.

Sara’s sunny, intelligent perspective on life was indeed delightful, but lacked the usual dose of drama (apart from an instance when she gave Caroline Brooks some unsolicited advice about parenting, which wasn’t well-received). Nevertheless, this tech entrepreneur broke barriers and challenged preconceptions about what it signifies to be a contemporary Muslim woman in the Middle East, and for that, we cheer her on.

In their debut on RHONJ‘s thirteenth season, the newcomers seemed to embody the archetypal Jersey Housewife, engaging in a prolonged disagreement over trivial matters that even Andy Cohen labeled as fruitless at the reunion. Regrettably, these former allies failed to contribute significantly more depth during season 14.

In the first season, Larsa didn’t leave a strong impact and departed the show. When the fourth season of RHOM returned on Peacock in 2021, her plotline focused largely on her past friendship with Kim Kardashian, as well as her online business selling suggestive foot photos on OnlyFans.

Back in 2016, I couldn’t contain my excitement when I learned that the captivating Ana had been selected to compete in season 12 of “Next Food Network Star.” Alas, fate had other plans, and despite my fervent cheers, she didn’t make it past the competition.

Sadly, she seemed to serve as Brandi Glanville’s verbal sparring partner, and her tagline promoting the idea that being excessively thin is something to celebrate was distasteful.
