Tulsa King Spin-Off NOLA King Starring Samuel L Jackson in NOLA Crime Series

As a movie enthusiast, I’ve been eagerly awaiting updates since Tulsa King’s season 2 concluded back in November last year. The captivating Paramount Plus series starring the legendary Sylvester Stallone has left me, along with countless other fans, on tenterhooks about potential future installments.

Indeed, not just are we seeing the third season’s filming happening simultaneously in Atlanta and Oklahoma, but recent reports suggest that the cosmos of this series is set to extend even beyond its current stellar limits.

According to Deadline, it seems like the Tulsa King universe could be expanding with a new spin-off titled NOLA King. This upcoming series is expected to delve into the criminal underworld of New Orleans.

As reported by Deadline’s sources, it appears that the NOLA King project will be led by Samuel L. Jackson, a highly esteemed actor known for his iconic roles such as those in Pulp Fiction, Django Unchained, and various Marvel movies where he portrayed Nick Fury.

It is believed that Jackson has been cast as Russell Lee Washington Jr., a character who, similar to Stallone’s Dwight ‘The General’ Manfredi, hails from the criminal underworld. His path crosses with Dwight in Tulsa, and later, he sets his sights on seizing control of New Orleans.

In simple terms, we can say that Jackson is expected to make an appearance in the third season of Tulsa King and may star in several episodes. These appearances could potentially pave the way for a separate storyline, possibly leading to a standalone series.

Once again, Taylor Sheridan adds another success to his belt with the crime drama he co-writes. It’s rumored that Dave Erickson, who is both a writer and executive producer on the series, will write and oversee production of NOLA King. Additionally, he serves as showrunner for Mayor of Kingstown, and is expected to do so for NOLA King as well.

Over time, Sheridan has achieved significant success in his partnership with Paramount Plus, earning major accolades for Yellowstone and its subsequent series, 1883 and 1923. Given this track record, it’s not surprising that he is looking to broaden the realm of Tulsa King.

Recently, actor Cole Hauser from the show Yellowstone announced that an offshoot focusing on his character has been greenlit, thus putting to rest speculations about its development.

“Well, first of all, it’s not Dutton Ranch,” Hauser told Fox News. “That’s not the name of it.”

He added: “For the past seven years, we’ve maintained the status quo. That is, Kelly [Reilly] and I have been putting in a great deal of effort to develop something extraordinary.
