Scrooge McDuck, often called ‘Uncle Scrooge‘, is set to embark on a new and daunting adventure by Marvel Comics. Known for his vast wealth stored in his money bin, the character has been a staple in various versions of the DuckTales series, Disney shorts, and films. This time around, fans will discover that there’s something more valuable to Uncle Scrooge than gold and riches. If he fails to conquer this impending peril, Uncle Scrooge could potentially lose this cherished item forever.

In a fresh Marvel comic, titled “Uncle Scrooge: The Duck of All Trades“, Scrooge McDuck makes another appearance, written by Jason Aaron with artistic contributions from Giuseppe Camuncoli, Mahmud Asrar, and Ciro Cangialosi. Following his work on the one-shot “Uncle Scrooge & the Infinity Dime“, Aaron pens a new story that merges the universe of Scrooge McDuck with the thrilling narrative style of Marvel Comics superhero tales. The cover art for the first two issues has been unveiled, along with details about the plot, which hints at Uncle Scrooge being embroiled in a struggle where he must defend his cherished memories as he finds himself trapped within his own mind.

Aaron expressed that Scrooge McDuck is undoubtedly one of the most remarkable characters in comic book history. Writing him for the comic “Uncle Scrooge & the Infinity Dime” was exhilarating, as we embarked on a cosmic voyage with him. To make this new series stand out, I wanted to go beyond just involving more Marvel artists; instead, I planned an epic tale that would be the pinnacle of Scrooge’s career. This story sees him battling to preserve something more valuable than even gold or exotic treasures – his cherished memories of a life filled with adventure.

It’s intriguing to learn that despite his reputation for greed and hoarding wealth throughout his impressive career, Uncle Scrooge cherishes his recollections of adventures more dearly than his gold and treasures. His character is often portrayed as fiercely guarding his gold and waging battles against attempts to seize it from his rogues’ gallery. However, it’s the memories that will endure in him. Gold and treasure can’t be brought along to the afterlife, but one hopes that memories will provide a lasting reflection. Even someone as wealthy as Uncle Scrooge appreciates their worth.
