Spike Chunsoft unveiled a fresh trailer for the detective adventure and puzzle game “No Rest for Kaname Date – From AI: The Somnium Files,” showcasing its game mechanics. Furthermore, it’s now possible to pre-order the digital version for the upcoming Switch 2 release.

The well-received detective adventure game series, AI: The Somnium Files, has earned acclaim from fans across the globe. A fresh addition to the franchise is set for release on Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and Steam. In this installment, players assume the role of Kaname Date, the central character, who partners with AI-Ball, Aiba, to crack a baffling case and save Iris, a popular internet personality coerced into participating in a perilous escape game. The new game, titled No Sleep For Kaname Date – From AI: The Somnium Files, introduces a novel gameplay mechanic called “Escape”. Similar to previous games, players will explore crime scenes and listen to testimonies during the “Investigation” phase. They’ll also delve into suspects’ dream worlds during the “Somnium” phase. In the innovative “Escape” segments, players will solve puzzles to break free from locked rooms. By transitioning between these three parts, players can gather the essential clues required to crack the case.

The next generation Nintendo Switch offers faster load speeds, enhanced visuals, and compatibility with a mouse for better control.
