Teen Mom’s Jenelle Evans Reveals How Her 3 Kids Reacted to Her Divorce

Springtime has arrived, the heavens are a clear blue, wow! It seems as though every bird is singing with joy, as if they hold some secret. Today is the day when Jenelle Evans will declare that she won’t feel sadness ever again, and she won’t be unhappy anymore.

Since the former star of “Teen Mom” has legally initiated the dissolution of her almost eight-year union with David Eason, she is eager to rejoice and celebrate.

In a private chat with TopMob News, the individual shared that they are embarking on a fresh phase of their existence, leaving behind unfavorable influences, and seeking self-discovery once more. They also expressed the desire for solitude and personal time, which includes their children.

As it turns out, I’m about to make a significant change in my life. Instead of renewing our vows, I’ll be finalizing my divorce in an unconventional setting – the vibrant Spearmint Rhino strip club in New York City. This isn’t just any ordinary night, it’s a milestone celebration, marking the end of my marriage to the father of my 8-year-old daughter, Ensley, set for June 12 at 10 p.m.

After fulfilling the one-year mandatory waiting period in North Carolina, Jenelle mentioned that she had submitted the paperwork for an uncontested divorce. Therefore, she’s keeping her fingers crossed, eagerly awaiting the signing of the documents, at which point she’ll regain her former surname.

Additionally, as she prepares to rekindle the Jenelle Evans from before her marriage with David on their wooded 10-acre property, her sons Jace (aged 15, fathered by ex Andrew Lewis) and Kaiser (aged 10, fathered by former fiancé Nathan Griffith) are equally excited for this new phase in her life.

As she admitted, “My boys were kind of like, ‘Thank, God!'”

In my perspective as a lifestyle advisor, Regarding Ensley, the child currently under Jenelle’s sole physical and legal custody (though she and David are still in court), Jenelle shared, “They just seemed indifferent about it.” She added that her kids adapted well, neither showing distress nor excessive joy. In essence, they dealt with the situation admirably.

Without a doubt, it seemed like quite a risky move when she decided to trade her life in the East Coast for a new beginning in Las Vegas.

According to her, the marriage with David wasn’t successful, as she had shared on Teen Mom: The Next Chapter. Previously, she described David as emotionally abusive, stating that he said things like, “Jenelle, consider suicide. Your mother doesn’t care about you. Cry yourself to sleep, bitch.

And yet she had reservations about leaving that toxicity behind.

Jenelle expressed to TopMob that for quite some time she had been feeling incredibly anxious, saying something like, “I’ve been wondering, ‘Am I capable of doing this alone? Can I manage these three children on my own? Will they obey me in the absence of a male figure?’

For about 16 months after announcing her separation from David, Jenelle has found joy in being a single parent and making decisions on her own regarding her child’s upbringing. As she put it, “Things have been running quite smoothly.

And, truthfully, she’d been bracing for a rocky transition.

Prior to reaching that moment, I had been filled with immense fear and apprehension. I knew that if I were to move on from him, I would have to conquer these feelings. She confessed, “Once I did, it felt as though a light bulb in my mind switched on. Looking back, I believe all the tension culminating in that instant, I simply couldn’t take it anymore. It was like an explosion within me.

One of the matters that triggered her was their late mortgage payments for their countryside residence, which occurred back in 2019.

Jenelle explained, “I’m the one who managed to pull us out of that predicament.” She went on to say, “He failed to support our family in its time of need.” Moreover, she felt deeply disrespected by him, and this escalated into a situation where we were more like roommates. In her opinion, once that happened, there was no going back; the relationship had reached an irreversible point.

Especially considering David wasn’t even a particularly hospitable housemate.

jenelle explained that it was the constant arguing which brought negative vibes. Thus, she had decided it was time to move on from it all. Now, things have been exceptionally tranquil and calm, with reduced anxiety levels for everyone.

Jenelle finds comfort knowing she exhausted all possibilities before deciding to part ways with her husband.

Jenelle expressed a sense of relief upon ending that connection, stating, “After all my efforts, it seemed like everyone just kept clashing with David in the end.

And now her family is adjusting nicely to life in Sin City.

Despite finding the desert heat somewhat challenging, Jenelle remarked, “I feel liberated here.” She added that this change represented a fresh beginning for all the children, who were now engaged in numerous activities within the community.

Although she hasn’t actively participated much in the well-known nightlife, as she’s only been on a couple of dates within the last year, she is now prepared to take a chance and see what her future holds.

Jenelle expressed that she regrets spending so much time on a relationship that didn’t pan out, feeling it could have opened up more opportunities for her life and time. Now, however, she is determined to make the most of her chances, exploring different TV ventures where she can be behind the camera, and setting goals to establish her own cannabis business.

Above all, she’s excited to forge her unique path. As Jenelle put it, “I can’t wait for this!

Meanwhile, she continues searching for her next co-star, many of her previous colleagues have struck it rich in love. Let’s take a look at which “Teen Mom” personalities are still clinging to their significant others and who have decided to move on.

In 2009, on their debut season of “16 and Pregnant”, the popular duo Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra faced a challenging decision to give up their first-born, Carly, for adoption. Fast forward to 2015, they tied the knot in August and have since welcomed three more daughters: Novalee, Vaeda, and Rya into their family.

Despite the lingering sadness from Carly’s absence, who resides with her foster parents, Brandon and Teresa Davis, the couple remains resilient in their pursuit of a hopeful future.

In an interview with TopMob News in January 2025, Catelynn expressed that their bond “is whatever [their adopted sibling] desires.” She added, “If she wants a relationship with her biological siblings, or if she prefers to have a connection with us, fantastic. If not, we get it. Whatever form it takes for her is fine, because it should be focused on the adoptee’s needs and preferences.

In less than six months of being together, Maci Bookout faced challenges with an unreliable Ryan Edwards on the show ’16 and Pregnant’. Despite getting engaged, this high school sweetheart duo separated barely a year after their son Bentley’s birth in 2008.

Currently, they are working towards establishing a joint parenting partnership. Maci shared with TopMob News in 2023 that Ryan is present more frequently now than possibly ever, and she finds this encouraging.

In 2012, Maci met her long-term partner, Taylor McKinney from Texas. The duo started expanding their team not long after, and by May 2015, they had a daughter named Jayde. A year later, they were blessed with a son whom they called Maverick. They decided to formalize their relationship in October of the same year in Florida.

2023 interview with TopMob News, she expressed, “He’s simply my preferred partner for life, parenting, and our TTM Lifestyle fashion brand. Despite challenging times we’ve faced together, I still opt for him at the end of the day. I appreciate him, and even in moments when I feel like giving him a jab, I’d prefer to argue with him or go through tough times together rather than experience tranquility without any bumps with someone else.

Regardless of having new partners, the MTV celebrities, who bonded during The Challenge, still share parental responsibilities for their child named Ryder. They continue to do so harmoniously despite moving on in their personal lives.

Cheyenne shared with TopMob News in March 2020 that the main focus since Cory entered Ryder’s life has been about what type of father and parent he wanted to be. She made it clear that she wouldn’t tolerate him being a part-time or superficial dad, but rather someone fully committed. From the start, she believes Cory understood her approach and valued it, which is why their co-parenting has been successful.

Following the conclusion of their romance in 2018, they chose to rekindle their relationship. Cheyenne announced on Instagram during her 28th birthday celebration that she was reunited with Zach. In May 2021, they became parents to their first child, a son named Ace, and got married in September 2022.

In 2024, Cheyenne shared with TopMob News that the previous two years were spent crossing items off their list. Specifically, they had longed for a baby and welcomed Ace into their family, they had dreamt of getting married and held their wedding ceremony, and lastly, they desired to own a house and successfully purchased one.

She went on saying, “I have no desire for action or setting a target. Instead, I long for tranquility, to simply sit and remain motionless. My aim is to find contentment right here, right now, and to cherish each other. That’s all I yearn for.

It seems she made an announcement that she’s having her third baby, which was featured in the May 2025 episode of “Teen Mom: The Next Chapter”.

Zach shared with Us Weekly that there were moments when our feelings about having a baby fluctuated. Initially, he yearned for a child, but later, she had a phase where she wanted one too, and I wasn’t aligned with her thoughts at the time. However, we eventually found ourselves on the same page, and we made an effort to make it happen.

Establishing a bond while shooting the reality show ‘Ex on the Beach’ might not initially seem like the beginning of a love tale, but here we are, several years down the line with two lovely daughters, Mila and Maya, and the couple, Cory and Taylor Selfridge from ‘Are You the One?’, are still creating ripples.

In 2023, he revealed to TopMob News that they had recently purchased a new home. He also acknowledged the curiosity of people asking about their wedding plans. “We’ve been discussing it,” he said, “but there are still a few things left to do. I plan on proposing soon, and we both share the same desire for it to happen. For now, we’re focusing on making preparations towards that.

After marrying Mackenzie Standifer in May 2017, Ryan sought help at a rehab facility shortly thereafter. Meanwhile, their first child, Jagger, was born in the year 2018, during the time when Ryan was still undergoing treatment.

Initially, they were thrilled to have their baby girl, Stella, in January 2020; however, Mackenzie decided to file for divorce three years afterward.

Currently, Ryan is betrothed to Amanda Conner. Together, they’ve become parents to their newborn daughter, Presley, who arrived in February 2025.

Even though their highly disputed relationship officially ended in 2013, this former pair has been successfully coparenting their teenage daughter Leah ever since then.

In an interview with TopMob News in January 2022, Amber shared, “We enjoy each other’s company while keeping apart, but our bond is strong. Our connection feels more like a family unit rather than anything else.

As a dedicated follower, I’ve observed that Amber and Gary, once family, seem to have drifted apart over time. Their disputes have occasionally spilled onto social media, as evidenced by the numerous claims made by Amber. Furthermore, the tension between Amber and Leah has been highlighted on Teen Mom: The Next Chapter.

After spending several years as a couple, an engagement followed by a brief participation in “Marriage Boot Camp”, Matt Baier, who is originally from Boston, ended his engagement with Amber in the year 2017.

Amber admitted on Dr. Drew Pinsky’s podcast that at some point, she stopped paying attention and caring about the relationship because it felt like too much. She essentially built a barrier to protect herself from getting hurt again.

During her time on “Marriage Boot Camp,” Amber discovered love. She connected with crew member Andrew Glennon on set. They first appeared as a couple at the 2017 MTV Movie Awards, and in May 2018, they welcomed their first child, James.

However, following Amber’s arrest for domestic battery in July 2019, the couple didn’t stay together for long. After a lengthy legal dispute, it was decided in 2022 that California native Andrew would have sole legal and primary physical custody of their son.

As a deeply devoted admirer, let me share that I’ve poured countless efforts into personal growth and strengthening bonds with my kids. In an exclusive chat with TopMob News, the star of Teen Mom opened up about this journey, emphasizing that while I’ve been truthful about my history with substance abuse and mental health issues, everyone deserves a second chance to move past their past struggles and not be defined solely by them.

Persevering without wavering, she said, “Even if your path hasn’t been smooth, but you’ve tirelessly strived to grow into a better, stronger, and compassionate individual today, keep pressing on just as I do. I promise you, I will never cease my fight for the children I cherish above all else.

Following an online encounter with Amber, Dimitri Garcia first appeared on ‘Teen Mom OG’ in April 2020. As Amber disclosed on the program, “Dimitri hails from Belgium, he’s 39 years old, making him a decade my senior. However, he’s quite an attractive gentleman.” Intrigued by one another, they decided to meet in person.

As an ardent fan, I can’t help but share my excitement about the rollercoaster relationship saga of Amber! Back in April 2021, during the special reunion for Teen Mom OG, she candidly spilled the beans about still being with Dimitri. She put it this way, “We’ve been acquainted for a good 18 months, but unfortunately, I haven’t crossed paths with him for an entire year.”

Although they never made an official breakup announcement, Amber later introduced a new love interest named Gary Wayt on the June 2024 episode of Teen Mom: The Next Chapter. Oh, the drama!

After Amber matched with Gary 2.0 on a dating app in autumn 2023, he came into focus as she presented him to her fellow Teen Mom cast members during a video call.

Despite his proposal in May 2024, their relationship didn’t last long. During her brother’s wedding in North Carolina in June, Gary left them following an argument, causing Amber to file a missing person’s report.

And while Gary was soon located, the duo’s engagment wasn’t the only thing left broken.

On “Teen Mom: The Next Chapter,” Amber expressed, “For three to four days, I was faced with the belief that my fiancé had passed away. This left me dealing with the heartache of grieving and trying to comprehend why someone would do such a thing to me. Currently, I’m navigating this challenging situation.

She went on to say, “This man shattered me. Previously, I’d always been steady. But for the first time in years, due to a man giving me a ring, I’m not feeling my usual sense of stability.

Several months passed following the arrival of their daughter Emilee in April 2015, and Gary eventually married Kristina Anderson in a delightful beach wedding ceremony.

In a 2022 Instagram post, Gary expressed, “Your soul is one of the most radiant and lovely I’ve encountered. I can’t imagine navigating life without you by my side.

In December 2008, exactly two months before Sophia was born, the man who was Farrah Abraham’s daughter’s father tragically passed away due to an accident.

In a significant change following the demise of her high school sweetheart, Farrah had an on-again, off-again romance with Simon Saran, who works in real estate, that spanned more than two years.

Despite their acrimonious parting in 2017, they made an effort, albeit tentative, to maintain a friendship.

Simon stated to TopMob News that he holds no ill will towards Farrah. They come from different backgrounds; she enjoys living a fabricated lifestyle, while he seeks authenticity. He wishes her nothing but good fortune and success in all of her future ventures.

Jenelle Evans and Andrew Lewis, parents of now-adolescent Jace, parted ways shortly after his birth in 2009, with Evans having minimal participation in her son’s upbringing.

In the 2019 episode of Teen Mom 2, Jenelle pondered, “I can’t help but feel sorry because he is Jace’s father. However, I know his character, and I don’t wish for him to let down my son. I don’t want him to reappear only to disappear again.

After spending a year married to Courtland Rogers, and giving birth to her second child, Kaiser, with former fiancé Nathan Griffin in 2014, Jenelle later tied the knot with David Eason on their North Carolina property in September 2017. This was eight months after they had their daughter Ensley together.

Following a challenging period, it was reported that David faced a minor charge for alleged child abuse concerning Jace. At this point, Jenelle described the situation as a “smear campaign.” Subsequently, she disclosed that they had parted ways.

She clarified on social media that she wanted to file for divorce immediately, but due to North Carolina law, one must first be legally separated for a year. Additionally, it’s necessary to provide evidence of living apart at two distinct residences.

Recall the charming man who once inquired from his ex-girlfriend, Chelsea Houska, about when he could finalize the documents regarding that error?

Completely in the rearview.

Despite the challenges, the former Teen Mom star and current HGTV personality maintains a surprisingly amicable bond with her high school ex, Adam Lind, who is Aubree’s father. As she shared with Us Weekly, “There’s no negativity, it’s just an open relationship.” She added, “We don’t harbor any ill feelings towards each other, and we occasionally meet up, and everything goes smoothly.

In 2014, a chance encounter at a gas station marked the start of something special between Chelsea and Cole DeBoer. They officially tied the knot in October 2016. Since then, they’ve expanded their family with the birth of son Watson in 2017, followed by daughters Layne in 2018 and Walker in 2021. More recently, they’ve embarked on a new shared endeavor – their HGTV series Down Home Fab.

Speaking with TopMob News, Chelsea expressed her desire for their potential return to TV. She wanted it to be something cheerful, positive, and allow them to be genuine. In her words, “This was an amazing chance to express ourselves in this way.

Initially, when Leah Messer and Corey Simms were determined to transform their friendship into a lifelong commitment, they got married in October 2010. However, just six months later, the parents of now-teenagers Aleeah and Aliannah decided to part ways and filed for divorce.

Corey has been married to Miranda Patterson since 2013.

In the year 2012, Leah tied the knot with Jeremy Calvert. A year later, they were blessed with a daughter named Adalynn.

Or, in a more conversational tone:
Leah got married to Jeremy Calvert in 2012 and welcomed their daughter, Adalynn, the following year.

Despite parting ways in 2015, they’ve put forth a concerted effort to jointly raise their daughter, with outcomes that can be somewhat variable at times.

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I couldn’t help but express my sentiments to TopMob News about the extraordinary transformation I’ve undergone. Being a mother to these incredible young ladies has led me to discover a more refined and fulfilled version of myself. Witnessing their passions and joyous pursuits fills me with an indescribable sense of pride, and I am honored to play a role in their lives. It’s nothing short of magical, and I cherish every moment as a mother, particularly as a ‘girl mom.’ This experience has only deepened my love for life, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

By the year 2021, when Leah publicly confirmed her relationship with Jaylan Mobley on Instagram, this U.S. Army officer had already won over not only Leah but also her children as well.

The couple announced their engagement in August 2022, but broke up that October.

A year ago, the ‘Teen Mom’ celebrity admitted to TopMob News that they needed their breakup. They’ve gained valuable insights from it and, looking ahead, they believe their life is only starting to truly unfold as they apply these lessons moving forward.

Kailyn Lowry had her first child, Isaac, with her high school sweetheart, Jo Rivera, when she was only 17 years old in the year 2010.

Although they parted ways a year later, they’ve established a harmonious co-parenting setup now, with Kailyn hosting her canceled podcast, Baby Mamas No Drama, alongside Jo’s wife, Vee Torres, for several years. After attending Jo and Vee’s 2018 wedding, Kailyn reflected on their journey, stating, “We’ve come a long way since we were 18.” She added, “I couldn’t ask for a better stepmother for Isaac.

In the realm of lifestyle advice, let me share a personal anecdote: My second son, Lincoln, became part of our family unit in November 2013, approximately a year after I tied the knot with his dad, Javi Marroquin. This was around the time when I was making waves on the hit series, ‘Teen Mom 2’.

In late 2016, their marriage dissolved, and since then, their relationship has been somewhat turbulent as they’ve both embarked on new chapters in their lives.

In April 2025, while Kail was still engaged to Elijah Scott, Javi tied the knot with Lauren Comeau in a private ceremony on Florida’s Vero Beach. On Instagram Stories, Lauren shared that only her father, their children Eli and Maizee, and the pastor were present at the wedding. She mentioned that they have a summer reception planned for friends and family. Lauren added that everyone was fully supportive of the union, and Javi’s mother had already experienced his firsts, so there were no issues. They wanted the boys to have a special experience, and for their family event to be intimate, with Lauren’s father walking her down the aisle.

Despite intermittently being in a relationship with Chris Lopez, Kailyn gave birth to sons Lux and Creed. However, after some time, they decided to end their relationship permanently.

In an interview with TopMob News in 2020, she shared that currently there is no communication between us at all. She expressed her hope that things will improve over time, but she doesn’t have a grand plan or vision for the future. She doesn’t harbor any negative feelings and simply hopes that whatever happens, it works out best for our children.

Kailyn finds her relationship with Elijah to be significantly more stable than her past partnerships. Speaking to People, she described Elijah as the father of her son Rio and twins Verse and Valley. “He’s unlike any other partner I’ve had before,” she said. “He works hard on construction sites, but he’s also deeply committed to our family. He’s closely tied with his own family, ours too. He’s been an excellent partner for me, and I believe we make a great pair.

A strong enough one that she finally said yes to one of his many proposals, in fact.

As a lifestyle expert, I’d rephrase it this way: “In an interview with TopMob News last September, I confirmed that my long-time neighbor and now life partner had proposed multiple times. However, I didn’t reject him outright; instead, I replied something along the lines of ‘Yes, but not just yet.’

Though she admitted that the construction worker had definitely influenced her views on marriage, she isn’t in a hurry to purchase a white wedding dress. Instead, Kailyn humorously mentioned that whether or not they get married soon depends on the particular day you ask her about it.

As a devoted follower, I’ve been closely watching the journey of Jade Cline and Sean Austin from Indiana, who have experienced their fair share of highs and lows since their daughter Kloie was born in 2017. However, in January 2022, Jade hinted to fans that they were on an upward trajectory.

She shared with TopMob News that significant events impacted our lives, while Sean experienced substantial enhancements in his life too, along with a promising future. I’m incredibly proud of him and where we are now. Eight months later, they revealed their engagement, tying the knot in October 2023.

In 2024, Jade confided in TopMob News that her relationship isn’t flawless all the time. However, she emphasized that they share a deep affection for one another and manage to keep their bond strong despite its imperfections.

In 2021, residents of California, Ashley Jones and Bar Smith, secretly tied the knot. This was four years following the birth of their daughter, Holly.

But after calling off their romance several times, Ashley officially filed for divorce in 2024.

After more than a decade since 16 and Pregnant star Briana DeJesus and Devoin Austin II became parents to their daughter Nova in 2011, there were signs that they might rekindle their relationship.

Currently, Briana stated to TopMob News in 2024: “These days, I’m seeking a genuine adult companion, not the youthful figures I’ve grown accustomed to dating in the past.

Following her appearance on the one season of “Teen Mom 3”, Briana became part of “Teen Mom 2” during its eighth series, and welcomed her second daughter, Stella, with former partner Luis Miguel, in July 2017.

Ever since then, Luis hasn’t been as involved as I’d hoped. As I shared with Dr. Drew during a Teen Mom 2 episode in December 2019, it seems like he yearns for a life together, which sadly isn’t an option for me right now. Consequently, it appears he’s chosen to keep his distance entirely.
