Resident Evil Requiem Announced, Launches on February 27th, 2026

Following an apparent deception by producer Jun Takeuchi during the broadcast, Capcom ultimately unveiled the subsequent primary installment in the franchise: Resident Evil Vengeance. Here’s the initial teaser video for your viewing pleasure.

The story kicks off with Grace Ashcroft, Alyssa Ashcroft’s daughter, tasked with probing a murder at a hotel – the same establishment where her mother perished. As events unfold, what initially seemed interesting soon escalates into chilling circumstances, trapping Grace on a hospital bed with no means of escape.

Next, we switch scenes to reveal a devastated city with a colossal crater, clearly identified as Raccoon City by the remains of its buildings. Several grotesque creatures are displayed, yet there’s no trace of Leon S. Kennedy, who is strongly speculated to be part of the upcoming installment.

On February 27th, 2026, the latest installment of Resident Evil, titled “Resident Evil Requiem,” will be released. Although Capcom hasn’t specified the platforms yet, it will be playable at Gamescom in August. The game is said to represent a daring change in tone and mechanics for the series, offering “high-stakes cinematic action” alongside survival horror elements. Keep an eye out for further updates until then.
