Playdead, a well-known studio, is creating a somber, science fiction game in collaboration with Epic. Meanwhile, another game titled End of Abyss, also developed using Unreal Engine, seems to share similar themes. However, it’s being developed by a fresh Swedish studio named Section 9.
In other words, imagine the scenario where these children from Little Nightmares were equipped with firearms. This game carries an undertone reminiscent of Dead Nation, a grim isometric shooter that boasts dim lighting and flamboyant enemy designs.
Stay alert while navigating End of Abyss, for unknown dangers hidden in the shadows may abruptly end your journey.
The title’s due out on PS5 in 2026.
