Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Free and Paid DLC Adds Guests from Minecraft, Like a Dragon, More

Hey there fellow gamers! Just dropping a quick update: I’ve just got some fresh info from the Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds site. It sheds light on the game itself, their plans for content after launch, and other exciting details. Keep an eye out for more news as we get closer to the release!

In the aforementioned trailer, characters and their vehicles belonging to SEGA’s franchises (which they own), will be made available for the kart racer game as free downloadable content (DLC). Characters from other franchises, such as Minecraft, will require purchase as premium add-ons.

With the Digital Deluxe edition of the game, you’ll receive a Season Pass that grants you entry to additional content packages.

Minecraft introduces its unique lineup of characters, including Steve, Alex, and Creeper, along with a track designed for racing in Minecraft, as well as a minecart to navigate through it.

One of the upcoming DLC packs is expected to feature a third-party intellectual property, contributing to the diverse roster of characters in the cross-over kart racing game.

By reserving either the Standard or Digital Deluxe version of CrossWorlds, you’ll have the bonus of playing with the Werehog character too.

Once the game has received all its free and paid DLC, the character roster will number over 50.

In an exciting development, SEGA recently revealed a fresh trailer for their forthcoming racing game, Sonic Racing CrossWorlds. The announcement included some notable guest characters hailing from different series.

The video features cameos by Ichiban Kasuga from Like a Dragon, Joker from Persona 5, Hatsune Miku, along with some characters straight out of Minecraft.

It appears that the term “subtitle” might be alluding to something beyond merely shifting between dimensions during a race; it could also be hinting at the collection of characters in this context.

Additionally, we can now confirm the release date. The game will be available starting from 25th September, 2025, which means it’s not a long wait ahead.

Are you looking forward to Sonic Racing CrossWorlds? Who are some other characters, either from Sonic or other franchises, that you’d like to see as cameos? Share your thoughts in the comment area beneath this post.
