France Honors JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Creator For Special Occasion

For many years, Hirohiko Araki has been crafting tales linked to the Joestar clan in the comic book series “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure“. Earlier this year, some exciting news emerged for anime enthusiasts as David Production announced they would resume adapting the long-anticipated “Steel Ball Run” story. While fans eagerly await the animated escapades of Johnny Joestar and Gyro Zeppeli, France has honored Araki himself on his 65th birthday. Despite his advancing age, the manga creator expressed a desire to continue working on the series indefinitely, hinting that we might be treated to more decades of Joestar sagas.

Today marks the 6th of June, the birthday of renowned manga artist Hirohiko Araki. Adored in France as well, Araki contributed to the Louvre BD project where artists worldwide create collaborative works for the Louvre Museum. In this collaboration, he crafted a unique story within the Louvre, imbuing it with his distinctive artistic style. Comics are known as ‘the ninth art’ in France. We express our sincere appreciation and congratulations to Araki-sensei for helping establish a cultural connection between Japan and France through this medium. Happy Birthday, Master Araki!

Today, June 7th, manga legend Osamu Tezuka, affectionately known as Mr. Tezuka, is celebrating his birthday and receiving tremendous support from all over France. In recognition of this, he has joined the Louvre Museum’s global collaboration project, “LouvreBD,” where renowned artists come together to create works. Using his unique artistic vision, Mr. Tezuka has crafted a one-of-a-kind story set in the Louvre itself for this special occasion.

Hirohiko Araki’s Story Continues

At present, the manga for this franchise is focusing on the tale of Jodio and Dragona Joestar within “The JOJOLands”, set in Hawaii. The series revolves around the siblings’ efforts to accumulate sufficient funds to support their mother financially. A surprising twist came with the latest arc, introducing fan-favorite Kishibe Rohan into the mix as the protagonists executed a diamond heist to secure their financial stability. Although “The JOJOLands” boasts several heroic characters belonging to the Joestar crew, many readers are intrigued about who the main antagonist of this story will ultimately be. Given the franchise’s rich history of formidable adversaries like Dio Brando, Diavolo, Pucci, Kars, and others, the eventual villain for Dragona and Jodio must step into some significant footsteps to measure up to their predecessors.

Although the manga continues to roll out new chapters consistently, it seems that “The JOJOLands” might take several more years to appear on television screens. At this point, there’s still no announced release date for “Steel Ball Run,” and since the anime is closely adhering to its original source material, the arrival of Jodio and Dragona’s anime is likely to be quite distant. With numerous anime series either wrapping up or approaching their final episodes, it looks like the Joestars will continue to be a prominent presence in the world of animation for some time.
