In addition to unveiling special characters such as Hatsune Miku and Joker from Persona 5 in its latest trailer, Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds has been officially confirmed for release on the Nintendo Switch. However, this version will hit stores after the releases of other platforms.
Sega has disclosed the cost and features of both Standard and Deluxe versions. The Standard Edition for Switch 1 is priced at $59.99, whereas it costs $69.99 on other platforms like Switch 2. For the Digital Deluxe Edition, you’ll pay $79.99 on Switch 1 and $89.99 on other systems. Characters such as Knuckles, Rusty Rose, and Tails Nine from Sonic Prime are included in the Deluxe Edition, allowing them to be played.
This package also comes with a Season Pass offering additional playable characters, vehicles, and race tracks inspired by popular entertainment franchises (including Minecraft’s Steve as DLC). Additionally, you’ll enjoy early access to the game for three days, although this benefit doesn’t apply to Switch versions 1 and 2. To sweeten the deal, pre-orders will receive Sonic the Werehog from Sonic Unleashed as a playable racer, along with his vehicle and decal.
On September 25th, the game “Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds” will be released. This game offers playable characters numbering over 23 in its initial lineup and more than 70 items to disrupt your opponents. Additionally, Sonic Team has confirmed that a track modeled after Metal Harbor from “Sonic Adventure 2” will be included.
