This event, organized by the comfy gaming site Wholesome Games, unveils surprise game launches, world debut announcements, and beyond – all focusing on the cozy/wholesome gaming genre. As always, the 2025 Wholesome Direct showcase promises an enticing roster of “creative, inspiring, and emotionally impactful games” to keep us eagerly waiting in our wishlists.

Discovering an upcoming game titled “Let’s Build a Dungeon” was a surprise for me because it sounds too entertaining not to mention! This game is being developed by the creators of “Let’s Build a Zoo“. The sandbox-style game allows you to step into the role of your own RPG designer, offering a taste of game design with a hint of the enjoyable experience found in “Roller Coaster Tycoon” as players dive in. Although the official release date is still under wraps, today we learned that the game will also feature a cooperative mode!

5. Discounty Demo & Release Date Reveal Trailer

As a gamer who loves cozy simulators, I’ve been keeping an eye on Shopkeeping sim Discounty since its announcement. Today, during the Wholesome Direct showcase, we got a peek at a new demo for this game! Excitingly, Discounty is set to launch on August 21st, 2025, but if you can’t wait that long, you can check out the demo right now by visiting its page on Steam.

4. Multiplayer Gourdlets Game Gourdlets Together Announcement Trailer

Since its debut in 2024, the laid-back sandbox game titled “Gourdlets” has been cherished by snug gamers everywhere.
