It’s no surprise that both actors delivered outstanding performances in the movie, which garnered numerous end-of-the-year nominations across various award ceremonies, despite being overlooked entirely by The Oscars. On the other hand, The Speculator Now managed a modest $6 million at the box office, but considering it was produced with just $2 million, this was still a profitable venture. Moreover, its critical reception was positive, as indicated by its 92% score on Rotten Tomatoes.
