Following an outstanding Women’s Money in the Bank bout, it fell to the men to attempt matching that impressive standard. Luckily, they were well-prepared, with Penta, El Grande Americano, Andrade, Seth Rollins, LA Knight, and Solo Sikoa each having their chance to shine during the contest. However, others also made their mark, as by the end of the match, Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, Jacob Fatu, and JC Mateo had all left their impact on the bout. Once the chaos had subsided, it was Rollins who emerged with the briefcase, paving the way for an intriguing future.
Initially, every contestant immediately attacked Seth Rollins, followed by focusing on Sikoa once they eliminated him. Eventually, Rollins managed to re-enter the fray, but Penta swiftly knocked him out again, then executed an impressive dive from the top rope to clear everyone else. Americano attempted to use a ladder as a weapon against Penta, yet this tactic backfired as he was slammed into it instead. Later, Penta placed a ladder in the ring and delivered a heavy blow to Americano with a chop. However, before executing a meteora, Penta was struck by a ladder due to Rollins’ intervention, causing him to fall to the ground.
In a one-on-one match, Rollins faced off against Americano, with Americano brutally throwing Rollins onto a ladder. Sikoa then reappeared in the ring, thwarting Americano’s strategy. Later on, Sikoa focused on Knight, but ended up getting slammed harshly, spine-first, onto another ladder.
On top of three ladders, Knight and Penta clashed, followed by Rollins and Americano on separate ladders. Sikoa introduced a third ladder, ascended it first, and Andrade joined in the fray. All six combatants fought atop the ladders. Rollins caused Americano to lose his balance on one ladder, while Penta did the same to Andrade. This resulted in all other competitors tumbling to the ground, leaving only Rollins and Sikoa standing tall.
In a one-on-one matchup, Sikoa initially had the upper hand against Rollins, but Rollins retaliated with a superkick and escalated the action by slamming Sikoa onto a ladder and executing a curb stomp. Alone in the ring with another ladder, Rollins prepared to set it up, but Americano reappeared and attempted an ankle lock on the ladder. Andrade jumped in, climbed over Rollins to reach the top, and Penta soon followed suit, creating a multi-person scuffle atop the ladder.
Andrade performed an impressive sunset flip on Americano from high up, while Penta forcefully dropped Rollins off a ladder. Later, both Andrade and Penta climbed to the top of the ladder, and it appeared that Andrade allowed Penta to go for the briefcase, but this was just a trick. In reality, Andrade struck Penta’s head against the ladder several times before completely knocking him off the ladder.
Initially, Penta climbed back up the ladder, only for Andrade to intervene and position him for a maneuver onto another rung. In response, Penta retaliated with a Mexican Destroyer off the ladder, causing discomfort for both athletes, but it was Andrade who tumbled to the mat following the collision. However, Sikoa thwarted Penta’s progression by forcefully pushing him into the ladders positioned in the ring, then mocking the spectators.
Immediately following their battle on the arena’s edge, Knight erected a ladder connecting the ring to the barricade, but this move led him straight into a powerful blow from Sikoa. Sikoa was propelled towards the steps, while Penta delivered another Mexican Destroyer to incapacitate Knight within the ring. Subsequently, Penta attempted to ascend the ladder, but Americano unexpectedly appeared and tackled him with a German Suplex. Americano then executed suplexes on Knight, Rollins, and Sikoa.
(Alternatively)
Right after their clash on the arena’s perimeter, Knight quickly set up a ladder from the ring to the barricade, but this action saw him meet a firm blow from Sikoa. Sikoa was sent flying towards the steps, while Penta executed another Mexican Destroyer on the helpless Knight within the ring. Eager to reach the top of the ladder, Penta was caught off guard as Americano suddenly emerged and slammed him with a German Suplex. Americano then applied suplexes on Knight, Rollins, and Sikoa.
After that, Americano retrieved a concealed fireman’s pole (or “fireball ladder”) situated under the ring. However, Penta swiftly climbed up to seize the briefcase, just to be blocked by Rollins. Rollins endured a foot stomp, but persisted on the ladder. Subsequently, Americano placed a steel shield in his mask at the ring’s edge as Penta and Rollins continued their battle on the ladder. The skirmish between Rollins and Penta continued, with Rollins being knocked off the ladder. In response, Americano sprinted up one ladder to reach another, then headbutted Penta, sending him tumbling down. Unfortunately for Americano, Knight swiftly intervened from the top of the second ladder, slamming Americano back down.
Initially, Rollins found himself at the pinnacle but was thwarted by Andrade, preventing him from claiming victory this round. Instead, it was Penta who halted the win. Soon after, Rollins’ comrades Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker entered the fray, causing chaos by toppling all ladders and subsequently eliminating Knight with a powerful spear. Reed climbed up one of the fallen ladders and launched a Tsunami at Andrade, which marked their intention to focus on Sikoa next.
At that moment, Jacob Fatu and JC Mateo stepped forward to confront Breakker and Reed squarely in the ring, leading to an intense fight. Fatu ultimately triumphed by forcefully throwing Reed to the ground. In the heat of the battle, he brought Sikoa into the ring, shielding him as they both ascended the ladder. However, Fatu unexpectedly betrayed Sikoa, severing their alliance with a powerful superkick. This act cost Sikoa the match, as Fatu brutally threw him through a ladder positioned outside the ring.
Later on, Rollins appeared, carrying the Fireball ladder which he placed right in the center of the wrestling arena. He began to ascend the ladder but suddenly, Knight grabbed his legs and yanked him down. However, Rollins quickly retaliated by catching Knight and hurling him into the ladder. After that, Rollins performed a curb stomp. Rollins once more positioned the ladder, this time climbing up to the top where no one tried to interfere. With no obstacles in his way, Rollins was declared the victor of the Men’s Money in the Bank match.
Rollins seems to align best with this scenario since it matches his current path and influential group. With the briefcase in hand, he becomes an instant title contender on both brands. No matter how they choose to utilize him, he is now a significant player in the major events scene.
