Rival Turf Sequel Rushing Beat X Will Pummel PS5 Upon Release

Title Announcement: Hurry Up! Beat X: The Rebirth of Street Fighters – Following in the footsteps of its predecessor Rival Turf, this modern beat-em-up is gearing up for a punch on the PlayStation 5. A launch date has yet to be set.

Previously, the game was only officially announced for PC, but it appeared that a console version was imminent. If you’re interested, you can test out a fresh demo available on Steam right away.

The game, following in the footsteps of Jaleco’s ’90s SNES release, revolves around the comeback of protagonists Rick Norton and Douglas Bild, also known as Jack Flak and Oozie Nelson in localized versions, alongside a few fresh playable characters.

To achieve victory, learn the distinct combat techniques of each character, as mastery of these skills will become available as your journey through the game continues.

Adding a two-player cooperative mode brings an extra level of strategic depth and enjoyment. Experiment with different character combinations to discover your ideal team!

In addition, there’s a food-related element within the game mechanics, allowing you to combine various foods to prepare dishes that enhance your character’s abilities.

At the Taipei Game Show earlier this year, we had a chance to get our hands on it and noticed that it felt somewhat rigid in comparison to the exceptional Double Dragon Revive. However, since the demo was quite preliminary, there’s hope that it will be more polished by the time of its release.
