3 years ago, Freddie Slater’s character played by Bobby Brazier joined the cast of EastEnders, but it appears he will be leaving the show sometime in 2025.
Initially, The Sun announced Brazier’s departure, and an EastEnders representative later verified this information.
The publication was informed that Bobby Brazier is indeed departing from EastEnders. We extend our best wishes to him for his future endeavors.
Freddie, portrayed by Brazier, is revealed to be Little Mo Mitchell’s son. Throughout various story arcs over the years, he has been at the center of significant plotlines such as discoveries about his biological father, the development of a close bond with Bobby Beale (played by Clay Milner Russell), and a complex romantic entanglement involving both Bobby and Anna Knight (portrayed by Molly Rainford).
In 2023, Brazier decided to pause his soap role and participate in Strictly Come Dancing instead. His dancing partner was Dianne Buswell. They reached the final of the season alongside Layton Williams and Nikita Kuzmin, with Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola ultimately winning the competition.
Apart from my regular stints on EastEnders and Strictly Come Dancing, I’ve also graced the screens of Celebrity Gogglebox and starred in a 2024 Paramount Plus series titled Curfew, sharing the screen with Industry’s Sarah Parish and Doctor Who’s Mandip Gill. In the upcoming months, Brazier won’t be the only character departing from EastEnders. Additionally, Felix Baker (played by Matthew Morrison) and Bernadette Taylor (portrayed by Clair Norris) are set to exit the soap opera, just like Lacey Turner, who plays Stacey Slater, will also be leaving her role later this year.
Previously, Turner shared with The Sun that she was leaving, stating, “Now is the moment for me and Stacey to unwind. As for what Stacey might do during her break, well, only Stacey knows – and I’m certain it won’t be dull!
In the interim, an EastEnders representative has stated: “We are able to verify that Lacey will be absent from the show later this year. However, there’s a lot more excitement in store before her departure, and we eagerly anticipate arranging Stacey’s return when Lacey feels the moment is suitable.
