To start off the year 2025, Bandai Namco launched the remastered version of Tales of Graces f. However, more is on the horizon as they have hinted that another Tales of Remastered announcement is expected this coming summer.
As a gamer, I can’t help but wonder if the upcoming Xbox Games Showcase might be the stage for the announcement of the next remaster. While it’s not typical for them to do so, the publisher’s increased emphasis on Japanese titles in recent years has piqued my curiosity. If they do, it could very well share the spotlight with the long-whispered Persona 4 Remake.
It appears that Tales of Xillia, initially released in 2013 for PlayStation 3 and followed by a sequel, is a strong candidate for a remaster. Since it was exclusive to the PS3, other platforms have not had an opportunity to play it yet. A potential remaster for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC, and potentially Nintendo Switch 2 could offer fans a chance to experience this game on their preferred platform. Keep an eye out for official updates in the meantime.
