The upcoming space adventure from Obsidian Entertainment, titled The Outer Worlds 2, is planning its voyage for the Xbox Series X|S in October. This exciting news was unveiled during the Xbox Games Showcase, where a sneak peek at the much-awaited sequel to one of the standout RPGs from 2019 was presented, along with some fresh content and its expected launch date. After the main event concluded, fans were in for a special treat with an entire presentation dedicated to the series. However, before that, the showcase commenced with a new trailer revealing the new release date.
In simpler terms, “Obsidian Entertainment’s The Outer Worlds 2” is the follow-up to the 2019 highly acclaimed space RPG game, The Outer Worlds. Set in a commercialized solar system, you get to explore various worlds and decide the storyline through branching dialogues and scenarios. The game was praised for its narrative, performances, and gameplay, even earning a perfect score from ComicBook and nominations for Best RPG, Best Performance, Best Narrative, and Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2019. In this sequel, you can expect new characters, worlds, and a fresh plotline involving a galactic conflict. As it’s an RPG, there will be plenty of weapons to use in your journey.
The Outer Worlds 2 Sets October 29th Release Date
In the trailer, people discuss your main character as both a danger and an enemy. The capitalist motifs from the initial game are still evident, amplified by the presence of two factions. Additionally, we get a glimpse of the otherworldly fighting sequences, where you’ll fight against robots, humans, and a diverse array of creatures in all sorts of forms.
This year, Obsidian Entertainment has released its second game, titled “The Outer Worlds 2.” Earlier in February, their role-playing game set in a fantasy world, named “Avowed,” was launched and received positive feedback. Despite the contrasting settings, both games offer compatible combat and gameplay styles, delivering an enjoyable, smooth, and relaxed gaming experience. In the case of “The Outer Worlds 2,” the feature that allows for shaping the story to your liking worked effectively in the first version, and if everything goes smoothly, it should be even better here.
