At last, after much anticipation, Atlus has finally confirmed a fresh reinterpretation of the critically acclaimed RPG, Persona 4, which they’re calling Persona 4: Resurgence. Last year, Atlus brought back Persona 3 on contemporary systems under the title Persona 3: Reborn. The revamped version of P3 proved to be a massive success for Atlus and sparked rumors about further Persona remakes. Now, it appears that this strategy is indeed being carried out as Persona 4: Resurgence is slated for future release.
During the recent Xbox Games Showcase, I got a sneak peek at the revival of “Persona 4” straight from Atlus. The trailer was brief, but it offered a tantalizing glimpse into the remastered town of Inaba – a setting familiar to anyone who’s played “Persona 4”. Atlus also confirmed that this game is being developed for Xbox, PlayStation 5, and PC platforms.

2025 saw whispers about the remake of “Persona 4” starting to circulate. This was sparked when eagle-eyed fans spotted domains registered by Atlus suggesting a remake of “Persona 4”. To add fuel to the fire, a few voice actors from the original game later confirmed they wouldn’t be reprising their roles in the new “Persona 4” remake before the game’s official announcement. This strongly hinted that “Persona 4 Revival” was indeed in development, making today’s official revelation by Atlus more of a formality than a surprise.
Currently, we don’t have a specific launch date or even an estimated timeframe for the “Persona 4 Revival”. It’s highly probable that further information will be shared by the end of 2025.
