The infamous Dead Cells gang has announced that The Rogue Prince of Persia, known for his exploits, will exit Steam Early Access in August. The developers have shared a brief video highlighting the improvements and modifications made to the roguelike game since its initial entry into early access. Here’s a sneak peek at the changes below.
Similar to Dead Cells, The Rogue Prince of Persia offers an engaging side-scrolling action platformer experience where players can acquire new weapons, Medallions, and Talents to customize their playstyle. The main goal is to thwart an invading army from annihilating the Kingdom of Persia and rescuing the Prince’s loved ones (assisted by a mystical time loop).
Just as in other Prince of Persia games I adore, you’ll find yourself leaping across platforms, scaling walls, and zipping through environments with graceful slides, all while dodging lethal traps. The game has undergone a significant update that has reshuffled the Medallions into varying rarities and given looters a facelift. Additionally, there are brand-new weapons, improvements to movement mechanics, and other exciting additions.
