Atlus Says It’s ‘Actively Preparing’ for the Future of Persona as Revival Gets Rough Reception

It appears that the upcoming Persona game might take some time yet, considering that the head of P-Studio, Kazuhisa Wada, shared they are diligently planning and preparing for the future evolution of the Persona series within their studio.

Over the weekend, Atlus officially unveiled the much-anticipated PS5 remake of the beloved PS2 game, Persona 4. Previously known as Persona 4 Golden when it gained significant following on the PS Vita.

many people feel that the frosty color schemes in the trailer’s gameplay clips have undermined the essence of the original version, while others have merely commented that it seems like the development is still very much in its early stages.

Certainly, there’s no specified timeline for the launch of this project. Wada himself mentioned that his team is eager to disclose additional details as soon as possible.

It’s important to point out that Persona 3: Reloaded was just released last year, indicating that Atlus has been quite active and hard at work. However, if Persona 4: Resurgence doesn’t come out in 2026, how long might it be until we see Persona 6?
