In the upcoming episode of the popular ITV series, Coronation Street, the influential duo, Carla Connor (played by Alison King) and Lisa Swain (portrayed by Vicky Myers), are likely to encounter a fresh challenge.
The duo, lovingly referred to as ‘Swarla’ by admirers, reside under the same roof, sharing it with Lisa’s adolescent child, Betsy, portrayed by Sydney Martin.
On Monday (June 9th, 2025), an episode will air where Lisa is restrained in anticipation of a memorial service for the deceased Craig Tinker (Colson Smith).
As a passionate cinephile, when Ryan Mulvey’s character, Brody Michaelis, confided in Lisa about Jacob Roberts’ character, Kit Green, harassing him, she chose to ignore my concern and shared the details with Kit himself.
Lisa and Kit are talking about how challenging the memorial service might be, as Kit informs Lisa that he has been requested to deliver a speech by Craig’s relatives.
In the meantime, Carla expresses concern for Lisa, and over at Underworld, Betsy goes over to talk, noticing that Carla’s state of mind is influencing the employees.
After their chat, Carla feels motivated to discover some means to lift Lisa’s spirits, if not distract her from the difficulties she’s facing.

But it seems Carla’s gesture won’t go down well with Lisa.
As the week progresses, Betsy starts poking around in some old documents belonging to Lisa. Meanwhile, Lisa tells an untruth regarding the child’s fatherhood, but it is a secret about her deceased mother, Becky, that Betsy unexpectedly discovers instead.
