Another Big Apple Housewife has bitten the dust.
As a seasoned lifestyle aficionado, I’m sharing some exciting news: Brynn Whitfield, who graced our screens on the revamped seasons 14 and 15 of The Real Housewives of New York City, has decided not to rejoin the Bravo series for its upcoming run. This decision, no doubt, marks a new chapter in her journey.
After careful consideration, I’ve chosen to step back from reality TV for the time being, as expressed in my Instagram Stories on June 9. The Real Housewives of New York City remains one of the most entertaining, unpredictable, and enchanting periods in my life. It was a tremendous privilege to play a role in reviving such an iconic series. Since the beginning, I’ve felt that RHONY is ultimately for the fans – we’re merely caretakers of something that truly belongs to its passionate viewers.
The 39-year-old went on to say, “I aimed to bring plenty of laughter and a touch of tears, but above all else,” she emphasized, “I wish there was a television in heaven, so that my dear Mimi, who adored shows, could watch me perform and feel proud.
At the end, Brynn acknowledged all those who’ve been with her during her two turbulent seasons on the show, standing by her side.
To those who believed in me, encouraged me, and showed me kindness and forgiveness – thank you from the bottom of my heart. My gratitude knows no bounds. Excitingly, I’m only at the beginning of this journey.
Brynn also noted fans can soon keep up with her personal and professional life off screen.
She also mentioned that as you delve into my book due for release this year, you might find yourself laughing, crying, or even needing to take a break – and that’s perfectly fine! So far, I’ve only revealed a small part of myself, my experiences, and the lessons I’ve gleaned. This work is the most exposed and vulnerable piece I’ve ever penned…
Speaking as a lifestyle advisor, I’ve recently found myself reflecting on the rollercoaster ride that was my past season, marked by a heart-wrenching fallout with my once-inseparable friend, Ubah Hassan. The experiences have undeniably shaped my perspective on friendship and personal growth.
As a lifestyle connoisseur, allow me to share an update regarding our beloved cast: Brynn isn’t the only cast member we bid adieu following the conclusion of season 15 earlier this year. In fact, Rebecca Minkoff, who joined the team more recently, announced her departure in February, wrapping up her stint after a single season.
2025 marks a fresh start for me, and recent global happenings have underscored the significance of family, friends, and community more profoundly. Reflecting on the past month has instilled in me a renewed desire to prioritize my four extraordinary children, my devoted spouse, my 20-year-old business, the Female Founder Collective, my podcast, and my forthcoming book.
In the course of my journey with this franchise and its dedicated followers, I find it essential to shift my focus towards aspects that hold deep significance for me: creating, philanthropy, empowering women, and nurturing my family. I am deeply appreciative for the opportunities, friendships, and fans who have been a part of this RHONY journey in my life.
It remains undecided whether Ubah, Jenna Lyons, Racquel Chevremont, Erin Lichy, and Sai de Silva will rejoin the cast for season 16 of Bravo’s show.

Binge RHONY any time on Peacock.
Bravo’s unsuccessful endeavor to showcase our country’s capital introduced four women who are so nondescript, it would be understandable if you forgot them—their names being Mary Amons, Lynda Erkiletian, Cat Ommanney and Stacie Scott Turner. However, another woman who was eager for the spotlight gate-crashed a White House party. We’ll delve deeper into her story later on.
Who?
Vaguely familiar, but…
Once upon a time, DeShawn starred on the same TV show as NeNe Leakes. Surprising, we know.
This one-season Housewife brought nothing to the Orange County table.
Utah’s second-season Housewife, Jennie, ended her run with a controversial exit. In January 2022, Jennie was let go following the reemergence of old Facebook posts containing offensive and racially insensitive comments. Although Jennie later issued an apology, the harm had already been inflicted.
Her defining trait was “cougar.”
In season 16, the Orange County doctor, Dr. Jen, was generally uneventful and her marital issues with her perpetually shirtless husband (either Ryne or Ryan) were rather dull. However, one incident that will forever remain in our memory is Dr. Jen’s over-indulgence in wine at the Dubrows’ extremely awkward yet entertaining dinner party.
The debut year of the nurse anesthetist could be succinctly described with a phrase that we sincerely hope is not repeated: The unfortunate incident known as ‘Esophageal Mishap’.
Katie often spoke passionately about her charity endeavors on-screen, yet her contributions seemed minimal in other areas. She was more like a one-time appearance with little repeat value, and as a friend, she didn’t contribute significantly. Leaving a cast trip prematurely? That’s not a good look for a Housewife.
During her two seasons as a full-time Housewife, Charrisse’s marital issues became quite prominent, making these seasons particularly notable, along with her champagne room, which remains a significant part of her memory.
A one-and-done Housewife, Shamari was at least fun?
In season 12, it was refreshing to observe some diversity in the predominantly white Orange County setting. However, Peggy emerged as a perplexing character, causing strange conflicts and frequently engaging in arguments over words she didn’t comprehend. Her behavior during the Iceland trip, where she secluded herself in her room for an entire day, suggested that she might not be suited for the fast-paced lifestyle of the Real Housewives.
In my first season as a reality TV star, instead of fostering a connection with my Nigerian costar Wendy Osefo, our storyline became embroiled in an allegation I made about her mother being a witch. If only we could have celebrated and shared our rich Nigerian culture instead, creating a bond that lasted beyond any disagreements or unresolved conflicts.
In the sixteenth season, Noella whirled around like a whirlwind of frenetic activity. Despite her personal turmoil (her husband, James, departed the country and sought divorce just before filming began), it was her ongoing conflicts with queen bee Heather Dubrow that kept her from sinking too low in the rankings. With additional time and another season, we might grow fonder of Noella Bergener.
In her debut season, she was known as a peacemaker, but in her final season, she went from being calm to constantly complaining about a cake being thrown and making baseless accusations of anti-Semitism. It’s hard to recall a faster descent from grace on “Real Housewives” than this one.
Everything that Amber and her spouse, Jim, undertook, appeared extremely frantic and distressed. Interestingly, it seemed Jim found himself deeper in the turmoil compared to Amber. Certainly not an appealing sight.
The only thing people recall about Karen is that she was a dentist, and it appeared that none of her fellow cast members cared for her in the slightest. Moving on!
This was a real person with a show on Bravo. We promise.
Among the more recent cast members who only stayed for a single season on “RHONY,” Jules didn’t stick around long enough to claim a top spot. Nevertheless, she certainly brought plenty of exciting drama to the show.
So unnecessary they couldn’t even get individual taglines.
Similar to Sara Al Madani, Nina embodied a multifaceted, accomplished Arab woman who skillfully merged contemporary lifestyle with age-old cultural customs. She largely steered clear of the first season’s turmoil and at times found herself overshadowed by her colleagues’ more prominent, vibrant personas.
Taleen proved to be a valuable newcomer in the second season of RHODubai, yet it’s important to note that we can evaluate her performance based on just one season so far.
In seasons 11 and 12, a longtime contestant on “America’s Next Top Model” chose a peach, but didn’t leave a lasting impact on the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” (RHOA) world, mostly remembered for being pregnant throughout her time there. However, she did deliver a memorable line about Marlo Hampton during their Tokyo trip.
As is customary, we often need to observe multiple seasons to rank a new Housewife higher on our list. However, Katie made an impressive debut during the 18th season of RHOC, squaring off against long-time Housewife Heather Dubrow right from the start. It takes a bold woman to challenge someone as esteemed as Ms. Fancypants.
Sara’s upbeat, insightful perspective on life was generally enjoyable, yet lacked the usual dramatic flair (except for when she gave Caroline Brooks some unsolicited advice about parenting). However, this tech entrepreneur broke down barriers by embodying a fresh image of what it means to be a contemporary Muslim woman in the Middle East, and we commend her for that.
In their debut on “RHONJ” Season 13, the newcomers seemed to embody the stereotypical Jersey Housewife, and they rapidly engaged in a seemingly meaningless feud throughout the season that even Andy Cohen labeled as insignificant during the reunion. Regrettably, these former friends didn’t add much depth or significance during Season 14.
In the first season, I didn’t exactly leave a lasting impact before departing the show. However, when RHOM was rebooted for season four in 2021 by Peacock, my narrative became centered around my past friendship with Kim Kardashian and my ventures into sharing foot photos on OnlyFans.
After spending one season as a Bravolebrity, she tried her luck in season 12 of “Next Food Network Star” in 2016, but unfortunately, she didn’t succeed there either.
In my professional opinion, I found myself constantly at the receiving end of harsh treatment from Brandi Glanville. To add to that, her slogan, which seemed to glorify an unhealthy and unsightly obsession with thinness, left me feeling quite uncomfortable.
