In “The Lies of P: Overture” DLC, there are a total of eight unique gesture emotes scattered across different locations for you to discover. Gather all of them to earn the “To Be Human” trophy. The process of acquiring these gestures is similar to that in the main game. Some are hidden within documents, others may be obtained through quests or similar activities. In this guide, we’ll show you where to find each of the eight new gesture emotes!
All Gesture Locations for To Be Human Trophy | Lies of P: Overture
Shiver
To execute the first move on this list, follow these easy steps: Locate an adversary who can inflict the Freeze status and allow them to do so. Remain frozen, then meet your demise while still under the effect. When you respawn at the last Stargazer you rested at, you’ll receive the Shiver gesture as a reward.
In the world of Overture, I’ve found no shortage of enemies that can freeze me solid. For instance, the miniboss elephant in Chapter 1 has a knack for it. And let me tell you, those legless puppets lurking in the Zelator Underground Facility are particularly adept at using their quick-freezing breath!
Play Dead
Next, a simple action awaits you. If you look at what’s behind the mammoth statue near the Hall of Adventure Stargazer, you will find an item lying on the ground there. Pick up this item to obtain the “Discover Wildlife: Bears!” book. Once you’ve read this book in your inventory, the Play Dead gesture will be automatically added to your repertoire.
Tap Dance
To perform this action, begin at the Carnival Garden Stargazer location. Then, make your way into the carnival by passing through the main entrance. This step is associated with the Carnival Coins activity, which has been thoroughly explained in its specific guide.
Once you enter the carnival, look to your left and you’ll spot a tall, column-like construction. Interact with the white-and-blue puppet standing nearby for your first coin. That’s number one out of four, and it was quick as a flash!
Immediately following your acquisition of the first Carnival Coin, proceed towards the same pillar structure and then step into the open, yellow house that’s located nearby.
Make your way to the puppet theater situated in the house’s corner, just across from the entrance. Drop a Carnival Token into the wagon to kick off the performance. Enjoy the entire show, and as a reward, you’ll automatically get the “Tap Dance” move.
Cheer
Once you’ve gotten your hands on Tap Dance, make your way towards the carousel located within the carnival. This can be achieved by simply walking straight through the Carnival Garden Stargazer and following the path within the carnival.
As you approach the carousel, take a left turn to discover a wooden platform that will help you descend to a lower area. Hurray, go ahead and jump down joyfully!
After dropping down, run past the merchant there and go into the red and white tent.
As soon as you step into the tent, you’ll likely overhear a nearby puppet clown urging you to make your way onto the stage and give it your all.
Approach the puppet and perform the Tap Dance move in its presence. You’ll get a Cheer gesture as your reward for dancing, and the amulet known as the Strategist’s Amulet will appear from beneath the puppet! It’s like getting two great things at once!
Here’s another way to phrase it: “Don’t forget, you can also offer a Carnival Coin to this puppet clown if you have one on hand. In return, it grants you a Full Moonstone of the Covenant.
Doubt
In our ongoing quest for the “To Be Human” trophy in Lies of P: Overture, the next step involves advancing through a side-mission. To be precise, you must locate and converse with all three Crusher Puppets spread across Chapter 3.
Initially, continue your exploration in the usual manner at the Ancient Ruins Dig Site during Chapter 3 of Overture. At some stage, you’ll traverse a wooden bridge heading downwards; make sure to turn left once you reach that point.
Upon stepping into that cave, you’ll encounter a robotic voice addressing you. Explore the area to locate a Crusher Puppet which you can interact with to officially begin the quest.
After that, make your way to Overture Chapter 3 and advance until you reach the Ergo Mining Site Stargazer. You’ll find a moving platform helpful in progressing through this part of the level. Once you’ve utilized it, follow the path to the right where the Crusher Puppet will call out to you again.
Go past the crates and follow the tracks going up to reach the puppet.
Talk to the Crusher Puppet once again.
After talking, take the exit next to the Crusher Puppet to return to the main path of the level.
After exiting the cave, head towards your right and follow the path over the small wooden footbridge.
Or
Leaving the cave behind, go in a rightward direction and walk along the wooden bridge that spans a short distance.
Following this path will take you to a second, significantly larger timber bridge. Cross over the bridge to get to the subsequent part of the cave.
Upon stepping into the cave, a Crusher Puppet will call out from your left, inviting you for a chat. Listen carefully to whatever it has to share. Once you’ve finished conversing with the third Crusher Puppet, you’ll receive the Doubt gesture.
Heart
To perform this particular gesture, first, you should have completed a previous task: finding Rosaura’s shoes and giving them back to her. Once that’s done, locate Rosaura near the Stargazer at Pistris Harbor in Overture Chapter 3. If you offer any Ergo consumable item to her, she will express gratitude, rewarding you with the Heart gesture and other exclusive items.
Deep Bow
To perform this specific action, navigate to the Archon Fleet Shipwrecks location within Overture Chapter 4. Begin by locating the Stargazer point, then proceed along the usual main pathway until you encounter the second shipwreck.
As soon as you head inside, turn to your left instead of going down the stairs.
As you advance, you’ll come across a ladder with an object radiating light nearby. Grab the glowing item to obtain the “Correspondence from Beyond the Sea” document. Once you’ve fully examined this document in your inventory, you’ll automatically acquire knowledge of the Deep Bow gesture.
Peer Into Distance
As you move forward in the narrative, you’ll eventually find yourself at the Krat Lighthouse in Overture Chapter 4. From there, simply locate the stairs next to the Stargazer and ascend all the way to the highest point of the lighthouse.
Once you get to the summit of the lighthouse, a brief cinematic sequence will unfold. Immediately following the conclusion of this scene, the Peer into Distance gesture will be automatically granted to you. That’s everything you need to know!
