Later on, during a confession session, the 38-year-old was nearly bursting with happiness as the swelling subsided.
She expressed her astonishment, saying she felt quite unusual. Later, she humorously commented on the skin removed from her chin, stating, “I no longer have a sagging scrotum hanging off my face. My wings have been clipped as well. All that’s left is my lap now.
Tammy added, “It’s going to take a little while for me to get used to seeing myself like this.”
However, the joy radiating from Tammy’s expression as she scrutinized herself in the hospital mirror and her fits of laughter while facing the show’s producers during her interview, left no doubt that she was ecstatic about what she was observing.
For her brother Chris Combs, he just wants her to be proud of all she’s accomplished.
He confided in the cameras, ‘I truly wish Tammy recognizes the transformation she’s made when she looks in the mirror.’ She’s dedicated so much effort to shed those pounds, so it’s long overdue for her to be proud of herself as well.’
Before her operation, Tammy openly expressed her concerns, not only about the operation itself but also about how she might appear following it.
In a recent broadcast on June 3rd, I expressed my sentiments as follows: “The discomfort and the anxiety about what I might see when I look at myself later” were my feelings. For years, I’ve grown accustomed to seeing excess weight on my arms. But waking up on Sundays or Saturdays from now on, I won’t have that anymore.
She went on to say, “I will manage to appear semi-presentable from my chin downwards. It’s a bit frightening yet fulfilling simultaneously.
Tammy’s latest action, a skin-removal surgery often needed by people who’ve shed large amounts of weight, is simply another phase in her ongoing journey of change, during which she’s managed to shed an impressive 500 pounds over the past four years.
